Bubble Time!

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The tournament is now hand-for-hand as we are on the money bubble with 53 minutes remaining before the day is done. We will be right back with more updates from the floor as the tension is rising inside the Paradise Casino Walkerhill poker room.

Lavrin Triples

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

There were two players all in, one of them Stepan Lavrin who won the pot after his {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flopped big when {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} came out. The other all in player had {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and the player who had them covered had {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, giving Lavrin just about a full triple-up. With the one eliminated player we are officially on the bubble.

Slow Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The bubble has been very slow as we've played six hands without seeing an all-in showdown. This means there are still 29 players remaining and we need one more elimination before the money is reached.

There are just 35 minutes remaining in the current level, which is also the last level of the day.

The Bubble Has Burst

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sid Kim raised from under the gun to 10,000. He wanted to raise more but there was some confusion on his motion and the amount of chips in his hand. According to the dealer, he said raise with 9,000 chips in his hand and then pulled 4,000 back to get additional chips for a larger raise. The ruling came down that since he said raise with 9,000 in his hand that he could only raise to the minimum of 10,000.

After the decision, that action folded around to Yen Cheng Huang in the big blind, who seemed hesitant to make the call but eventually did.

The flop of {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} was dealt and Huang checked over to Kim who announced "all in" and Huang made the call. When the hands were tabled Huang was ahead with {j-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Kim held {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

The {3-Hearts} turn and {7-Hearts} river didn't change Kim's fate and he exited the tournament in 29th place. The remaining players are now guaranteed KRW4,800,000.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Spades} and Holbrook checked over to Lovelock who went all in. Holbrook called and turned over {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for flopped quads. Lovelock had {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and got up from his chair. The turn {7-Spades} and river {6-Spades} made Lovelock's elimination official and Holbrook's chip stack continues to grow.
