Dinner Break

Incredibly, with David Steicke holding a commanding chip lead and within an arm's reach of the title, the players have decided to take a dinner break. TD Mike Tarr offered them 45 minutes but in true high roller style they've managed to stretch that out to 70 minutes. We'll be back at 10:15 p.m local time.

Tran Doubles Through Bloom

JC Tran
JC Tran
JC Tran was down to his last 70,000 chips and was thrilled to wake up with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. He pushed his chips into the middle preflop and Bloom was happy to call with his {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

The board fell {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Tran stays alive! He's back up to over 140,000 and has a little breathing room.

Tran Crippled

The three players limped in to see a flop of {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Bloom checked to Tran who bet out 30,000. Both opponents made the call.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Bloom checked to Tran who fired again for 65,000. Steicke put in the raise to 200,000 as Bloom stepped aside.

Tran went into the tank and used up two time breaker buttons and with only 80,000 chips behind he eventually folded as Steicke flashed {J-?}{8-?} for two pair. Steicke is dominating with over three-quarters of the chips in play!

Bloom Recovers

Tony Bloom
Tony Bloom
Tony Bloom still appeared to still be steaming from the previous bluff, raised to 50,000 from the button and David Steicke made the call in the big blind.

They saw a flop of {3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Steicke led for 50,000. Bloom moved all in over the top for roughly another 180,000. Steicke took a look at Bloom's stack and decided to wait for a better spot, as Bloom get things moving back in the right direction for him.

Steicke's Triple Barrel Bluff

David Steicke
David Steicke
JC Tran limped the button, David Steicke completed in the small blind before Tony Bloom added an additional 60,000 from the big blind. Both opponents made the call and they saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Steicke led out with a bet of 100,000 and Bloom made the call as Tran got out of the way. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Steicke again led out, this time for 150,000. Bloom again made the call as the biggest pot of the tournament was developing.

The all important river was the {9-Diamonds} and Steicke grabbed two stacks of yellow for a third barrel worth 200,000. Bloom quickly gave it up as Steicke said "Nothing at all" and flashed {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}!

Steicke's triple-barrel bluff gives him a commanding chip lead now with well over half of the chips in play.
