Faure Makes Good

With the action still very tight in these early stages, we managed to catch a hand between Nicolas Faure and an opponent on a board that read {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Faure fired out a bet of 1,050 and the opponent called, only to muck when Faure rolled up {j-Spades}{3-Spades} for trips.

Faure is up to 16,500 as a result.

Brammer Time

Chris Brammer and an opponent in early position were heads-up into a board that read {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

We caught the action as the early position player fired out a bet of 3,250, which saw Brammer go deep into the tank.

"I've got a flush, what can I do?" Brammer lamented, thinking that his opponent had made a full house. Brammer eventually called, tabling {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

"You got it," said his adversary, throwing his hand into the muck.

Brammer is up to 17,200 after that hand.

Jackie's Swingin'

On a flop that read {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}, Jackie Glazier checked to her opponent in late position who led out for 300. Glazier called, then both players checked the turn of the {9-Spades}.

Glazier then led out for 700 on the river of the {2-Diamonds}. The opponent called, Glazier tabled {k-Clubs}{8-Spades} but she was no good against the opponent's {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Though she slipped to 12,000 after that hand, Glazier managed to take down another pot a short time later and is currently on 14,000 in chips.

Lisandro (during Main Event): the Legend won't give up without a fight!
Lisandro (during Main Event): the Legend won't give up without a fight!
Due to technical difficulties with the website last night, we were unable to complete yesterday's coverage of the Aussie Millions $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event last night.

However when we returned today we were advised by Crown staff that 2009 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Lisandro and 2009 WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. champion David Bach are returning at 7pm to finish up.

The chip counts are as follows:

David Bach - 447,000
Jeff Lisandro - 104,000

It should be a very interesting battle - be sure to keep an eye out on PokerNews for updates later this evening!

Karamalikis KO'ed

Karamalikis (during Event 16): eliminated
Karamalikis (during Event 16): eliminated
It's been an amazing run for Aussie online phenom Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis during this year's Aussie Millions, but unfortunately it's been cut short in this event by Australian Heads Up Championship runner-up Barry Woods.

We managed to catch the board of {7-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and saw the dealer muck Karamalikis' cards after Woods revealed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. 'The Dong' is done and Woods is up to 13,500 in chips.

Aristidou Eliminated

Aristidou (during Main Event): all done
Aristidou (during Main Event): all done
The money was all in the middle between Peter Aristidou and an opponent on a board that read {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

Aristidou had tabled {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} but found himself taking a trip to the rail after his rival showed down {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

Au revoir, Aristidou.

"Hey, You're That Poker Guy!"

It must be nice to be a poker player sometimes - you're famous in some circles, but then you're almost anonymous in others.

This seemed to be the case of an opponent who noticed the patch that PokerStars Team Australia Pro Grant Levy was wearing and asked, "So, did you satellite in through PokerStars?"
