Bada Bing, Bada Boom

On a board that read {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, an opponent in early position check-called Kristian Lunardi's bet of 900, then check-called Lunardi's bet of 2,800 on the river {5-Diamonds}.

Lunardi tabled {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for two pair. "Two pair is good," said the opponent before he mucked his hand.

Lunardi moves up to 82,200 in chips.

Should Have Noticed Dosuna

The green 25 denomination chips have been raced off every table, however Javier Dosuna had two of them still sitting on top of his stack.

As the rules state, once a denomination is raced out of play, any extra chips left behind are removed. However Dosuna doesn't look fazed, as he's sitting on a stack in excess of 110,000.

Clark Continues His Charge

The money was all in on a flop that read {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} between Kyle Clark and another opponent and we got there as the cards were tabled:

Clark: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The turn and river ran out {9-Diamonds}, {j-Spades}, sending the opponent to the rail and Clark up to 65,000 in chips.

Kamyar Takes Control

Kamyar Ekrami raised to 2,000 before the flop and found one caller to go heads-up to a flop that read {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

Ekrami led out for 2,500, the opponent checked and then both players checked the turn of the {3-Hearts}.

Ekrami checked to the opponent who fired out 3,900. Ekrami called, causing the opponent to insta-muck his hand. Ekrami thought about just scooping the pot, but ended up showing his {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} just to prove a point.

Ekrami is up to 64,000 after that hand.

48 Players Left

With 48 players remaining in the tournament (or eight tables of six for those of you keeping score at home), the action has slowed down but Daniel Neilson did find himself at risk against Javier Dosuna with all the money in the middle preflop.

That is until the cards were revealed:

Dosuna: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Neilson: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop of {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts} caught the table's attention, but they soon settled back down after the {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn. The river {5-Hearts} completed the board - chop it!

Mirzikinian Eliminated

We've just seen Warwick Mirzikinian hit the rail. We weren't able to catch the details, but that leaves us with 47 players in this tournament.

All names and chip counts should be updated shortly.

Pierre, Kamutzki Eliminated

Lenoi Pierre has just been sent packing at the hands of Robert Lum after attempting to bluff him off a pot on the river, only to run into Lum's pocket aces.

Heinz Kamutzki has also been eliminated, courtesy of Kristian Lunardi.

Kamutzi moved the last of his money into the middle with {j-?}{j-?}, but Lunardi woke up with {a-?}{a-?} and the board improved neither hand.

Lunardi is up to 134,000 in chips.

Youssef, Otte Eliminated

Sammy Youssef has been amongst the recent spate of eliminations, along with Johannes Otte, who moved all in with pocket eights, only to find Oliver Speidel waiting with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}, sending Otte out and Speidel is first past the 200k mark, now up to 226,000 in chips!

First Prize Amended

There was an error with the prizes listed earlier (which was taken from the tournament clock display).

As it turns out, the calculator had worked out the prize pool at 100.8%. This has been adjusted, and the only change was that of first place, which is AUD $118,580.

We apologise for any confusion.
