The penultimate event of the Aussie Millions is drawing to a close as the final table is set in the Event #19: $1,650 No-Limit Hold'em w/ Bounties!

What started early in the afternoon yesterday has gone late into the night and the next morning as the felt got an over 15 hour long workout.

Starting the tournament with high hopes of taking down a gold ring late at the 2011 Aussie Millions include Full Tilt Red Pro’s Matt Jarvis, Simon Watt, Roberto Romanello, Steve Yea, Jonathan Karamalikis and Nikolay Evdakov. Also in toe were Grant Levy, Joe Hachem, Faraz Jaka and David Steicke.

Unfortunately none of the aforementioned players were able to make it late into the night but there were plenty who did, with those managing to cash included Bruno Portaro (22nd), John Eames (17th), Ash Gupta (12th) and Scott Peel (9th).

The above players were unable to advance to the final table during the shootout round of the tournament, which occurred as the players dwindled to 32. The top two of each of the four shootout tables would make it the final table, and at last we introduce them to you.

Final Table

1Martin Kozlov445,000
2Lindy Thornton370,000
3Jai Kemp364,000

5Milan Gurung274,500
6Gerasimos Deres244,000
7Shao Liu208,000
8Mel Judah157,000

As you can see, it is Martin Kozlov who comes into the final table with the chip lead, while not far behind him is last female standing Lindy Thornton. Australian poker legend Mel Judah is down the bottom of the counts but is still in with a fighting chance.

That’s all from day one of the $1,650 Bounties Event, be sure to join us back here tomorrow at 4 p.m AEST for the final table action as another gold ring is given away in the wake of David Gorr taking down the Event #9: Aussie Millions Main Event. See you tomorrow!

Last One To Go

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

Scott Peel was allin holding {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} against the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Martin Kozlov.

The board would run out {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with no help for Peel as Kozlov eliminated the last player of the evening and giving the final bubble of the night to Peel.

With that we have our final table!

Then There Was One

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

Only one final shootout table remains, with Mel Judah, Martin Kozlov and Scott Peel the last three sitting at the felt.

Only two of them can make it with no player holding a dominating chip lead over the others. It is currently Martin Kozlov with a slight chip lead, while Mel Judah and Scott Peel are still surviving with healthy stacks.

Stay tuned.

Add A Couple More

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

A couple more people will be joining the final table with the recent elimination of Dominik Nitschke, meaning Shao Liu and Jai Kemp would progress through to the final table.

Nitschke was allin holding {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} against the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} of Kemp and would need help that never came on a {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs} board.

Dominik Nitschke is sent home with AUD$6,250 to help mourn his loss.

Two More For The Final Table

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

We have another couple of final tablist after the elimination of Joel Dodds.

Dodds was allin holding {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} against the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades} of Lindy Thornton and when the board ran out {k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} it would be all over for Dodds.

Dodds takes home AUD$6,250 for his efforts while table mates Thornton and Gerasimos Deres move onto the final table.

Then There Were Three

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante

There is now only three remaining on each of the tables as Raemin Alexander exits from his table just a few hands after John Eames was sent home and James Whittet was sent to the rail from his table.

Alexander looked on shattered as he was allin holding {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} against Jai Kemp's {10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. The board would run out {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}, the devestating jack on the turn giving Kemp the hand and sending Alexander to the rail.

Whittet's elimination was a little simpler, running into the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of Scott Peel.

Gupta Goes Home

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jarred Solomon and Milan Gurung. Those are the names of the first two players to make it the final table.

It happened when Ash Gupta moved allin holding {6d6h} and got the call from Solomon holding {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

The board would roll out {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Hearts}, the set for Gupta not able to hold up as the straight was hit on the turn for Solomon.

Gupta goes home in 19th place, taking home AUD$6,250.
