How Many At The Tables

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Three tables now have five players remaining, while table 32 still has seven players left, with that table not in the money yet.

The payouts will remain at AUD$2,500 at each table, until the tables are down to 4 whereby the prizes will start to increase.

See You Next Time Bruno

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Bruno Portaro is the latest player on the rail, his efforts netting him a AUD$2,500 prize.

Gerasimos Deres was the player that sent Portaro home, when he held {k-Spades}{6-Hearts} against Portaro's {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The board would run out {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, the king high good for Deres who stays in the tournament, eliminates a player, chips-up and takes the AUD$1,000 bounty from Portaro.

When The Big Stacks Collide

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Jarred Solomon and Alek Givotovsky are the two big stacks on table 29, and rather than avoiding each other, once again they have gone into battle.

Givotovsky took the lead on a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, before both players checked the {9-Spades} on the turn. Solomon fired a massive 32,000 chip bet when the {9-Diamonds} hit the river only to be called by Givotovsky.

Solomon tabled {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for the winner and Givotovsky mucked. Solomon moves up to 230,000 in chips and his once mighty opponent Givotovsky is brought down a peg now sitting on 90,000.

No Chip Lead For Busted Grigg

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Scott Peel opened under the gun to 5,200 and Tom Grigg re-raised the button to 13,500. Peel contemplated his next move and opted to smooth call.

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Peel check-raised Grigg allin, after Grigg's continuation bet of 10,000.

Grigg was left with a massive decision for his tournament life. He pondered the call for a while before asking whether he would get to carry the chip stack he accumulated to the final table with him. After getting an affirmative answer, he made the call.

Grigg: {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Peel: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Peel's pocket eights held up as the turn and river bricked for Grigg, meaning Grigg would be eliminated in 23rd place also collecting $2,500 for his day's work.

Peel now has the chip lead with 303,000.

Malcom Ayles Eliminated

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Ash Gupta and Malcom Ayles got all their chips in pre-flop and it was Gupta who had a slight advantage over Ayles.

Gupta: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Ayles: {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board bricked and Ayles was sent to the rail in 6th at his table and 24th place overall, collecting the first payout figure of $2,500 for his day's effort.

Prifti Wasn't Shoving Light

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

Shane Sigsbee raised under the gun to 4,900 and Angelo Prifti moved all-in for his last 1,400 in mid-position. The table inferred he has shoved lightly and Sigsbee's original raise was called by Bruno Portaro in the big blind.

The board of {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was checked down to the river when Sigsbee could check no more, firing a bet of 10,000. Portaro remarked "Oh, so close!" before folding. Sigsbee tabled {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nuts.

Prifti only slightly upset about his elimination said "Everyone thinks I was shoving light!" and tabled {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for a flopped set and joins the rail just outside the payouts.
