Waggoner Alive

Level 9 : 400/800, 75 ante

Marsha Waggoner has a bounty around her neck and when she moved allin for her remaining 4,500 the rest of her table were licking their lips.

Although the prospect of taking down the bounty is desirable, if you don't have the cards, you don't have the cards and as such all players folded around to Bruno Portaro in the small blind. Portaro having a big stack in front of him and already invested in the pot made the call. Steve Yea was in the big blind and eventually decided to fold his hand, showing the {a-Diamonds}.

"I only looked at one card," Portaro said before turning over his {k-Spades}{5-Spades}. Waggoner was out in front with {j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Waggoner doubled up and stays alive, while Portaro takes a slight hit.

If Full Tilt Red Pro Yea had have made the call he would have taken the pot, taken the bounty and sent Waggoner home. But you can't win pots on "what if's!"
