Kirk Wins and Shows

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Matthew Kirk raised from the hijack seat to 10,000 and Ben Blackmore called from the cutoff seat. Sean Eichendorf called from the button and three ways to the flop they went.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and action checked around to see the {K-Clubs} fall on the turn. Kirk fired 25,000 and won the pot right there. He showed the {7-Clubs} and stacked up to 280,000.

Lackovic Outdrawn to Rail

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Nik Lackovic (from earlier in the Aussie Millions)
Nik Lackovic (from earlier in the Aussie Millions)

Nik Lackovic pushed from under the gun for his last 40,500 and Chris Moorman made the call from the big blind.

Lackovic: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Moorman: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Lackovic, the {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop saw his dominating hand outdrawn as the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Needing only a king to remain alive, the {2-Spades} on the river would end his tournament in fifty-fourth place for an AUD$20,000 payday.

Cochrane Doubles with Aces

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Gavin Cochrane was all in preflop for 37,500 with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Matthew Kirk called him with the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Cochrane doubled. Kirk dropped back to 135,000.

After the hand, Kirk seemed to be a tiny bit on tilt. He's raised or shoved for the following three hands and won every one, claiming to want to "double up or go home."

Cochrane Spark'd on River

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Eli Heath opened to 10,500 from middle position only to have Christopher Sparks make it 28,000 from the cutoff.

With the action on Gavin Cochrane in the small blind, he moved all in for 78,500 to force a fold from Heath as Sparks went into the tank for several minutes.

"Hand caught in the cookie jar?" quipped Matthew Kirk.

Eventually Sparks opted to make the call.

Sparks: {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Cochrane: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

With Cochrane in great shape to double, the {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} kept a sweat alive with any eight or four being disastrous for him.

The {10-Clubs} on the turn bricked things out, but the devastating {8-Spades} on the river saw Sparks jump to his feet and scream, "Weeeeee!"

As Cochrane hits the rail for an AUD$20,000 payday, Sparks climbs to 275,000 in chips.

Farkas Doubles

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Gabor Farkas has just found a double courtesy of Oliver Keefe after a preflop clash.

Farkas: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Keefe: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

In a race for his tournament life, Farkas was happy to see the {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop spread to send Farkas up to 192,000 and Keefe down to 100,000.
