Antonius Finds Double

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 400 ante
"Thanks for that Barny!"
"Thanks for that Barny!"

Barny Boatman made it 12,000 from the button only to have Patrik Antonius move all in for 31,100 more from the big blind.

"I think you should call!" stated Lederer.

"Sometimes you've just gotta man up!" he continued before Boatman continued deliberating before eventually pushing in the chips to call.

Boatman: {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Antonius: {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

With Antonius in the lead, the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop kept him in the lead, but gave Boatman outs to a straight.

The {8-Spades} on the turn changed little, and as the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river, Antonius doubled through to 90,000 as Boatman slipped to 135,000 and change.

Lederer Surging

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 400 ante

Howard Lederer moved all in - for the third hand in succession - from the small blind.

"If you can show me a worse hand then this . . ." stated Boatman before trailing off and showing his {8-Spades}{2-Clubs} before mucking.

Lederer is now approaching the 70,000-chip mark following his back-to-back pushes.

Bord folded, and Lederer collected the pot.

Aces for Antonius; Pot Chopped Up

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 400 ante

James Bord opened it up from the small blind for 12,500 only to have Patrik Antonius move all in for 46,600 from the big blind.

"Wait, how much more?" asked Bord before announcing call and tabling his hand.

Bord: {K-Spades}{4-Spades}
Antonius: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

"Spade, spade, spade?" asked Bord as the dealer dropped the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop to get a few murmurs from the crowd.

The {10-Spades} on the turn now gave Bord a chop draw, and as he continually called for a nine, the deck obliged by dropping the {9-Hearts} on the river to see the pot chopped up.

"That was sick! So sick!" stated a stunned Bord.

Cookie Jar Punishment for Bord

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 400 ante

Barny Boatman limped the small blind and James Bord checked his option as the {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop brought about a bet of 8,000 from Bord once Boatman had checked.

Boatman stalled for a few moments before making it 21,000 to prompt an insta-fold from Bord.

"I knew I shouldn't have done it. Got my hand caught in the cookie jar!" stated Bord.

Two Pair Enough for Oppenheim

Level 5 : 2,500/5,000, 400 ante

Barney Boatman limped in from under the gun and David Oppenheim completed from the small blind as Howard lederer checked his option from the big.

Boatman took the lead on the {Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop by leading for 7,500 as Oppenheim check-called and Lederer passed.

The {5-Diamonds} was checked through on the turn as the {k-Spades} landed on the river and Oppenheim checked for a third time.

Boatman leant over the table and then tapped it hard with his right fist. Oppenheim tabled his {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Boatman kicked his cards to the muck.

"Aarrgghh!" screamed Lederer.

"I had King-five. And a backdoor flush draw. Should have just bet the flop!" he continued.
