Croc Biting Back

Level 8 : 1,200/2,400, 200 ante

James Bord raised it up to 5500, and Billy "The Croc" Argyros moved all in for his last 8,500. Nikolay Evdakov then put his sunglasses on and moved all in himself. This sent Patrik Antonius into the tank. He could possibly send us to a final table with a double knockout. His facial expression went from clearly folding, to "lets do this," to "maybe not," to "ok I'll fold". Bord folded as well, and Croc flipped over pocket Kings. They were well ahead of the Russian's {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and they would stay ahead with the board coming {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

The Croc is still short with around 23,000, but he's in better shape than before. Oh, and he's quieted down a lot as well. The cocktail server must have taken off for the night.

Dong's Gone

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante
Karamalikis Hits the Rail
Karamalikis Hits the Rail

From the button, Jonathan Karamalikis moved all in for 11,000. Nikolay Evdakov, in the big blind, made the call.

Karamalikis: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Evdakov: {q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The flop, {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} paired Karamalikis' eight. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn gave Evdakov a gutshot straight draw. He didn't hit the straight, but he did river a queen, sending Karamalikis to the rail in fifth place.

Let the Shoving Begin

Level 7 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

The big stacks have begun to bully the shorties, moving all in whenever possible with position. We expect a slew of bustouts in the near future.

Feldman Felted

Level 6 : 800/1,600, 100 ante
Andrew Feldman
Andrew Feldman

Patrik Antonius opened the action by min-raising to 4,000. Andrew Feldman, moved all-in for 17,900 and Antonius snap-called flipping over {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Feldman was ahead with pocket queens, but the board killed his hopes of a double up coming out {3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

He's out 6th in this heat, while Antonius is now a dominant chip leader with close to 75,000.
