Tony G, He's Still Alive

Tony G
Tony G

We got some Tony G hands. First a double up, and than two losses.

Roberto Romanello came over to our table and told us the following. Tony G raised to 3,100 and Romanello decided to three-bet to 7,400. Tony G moved all-in for 29,000 and Romanello made the call. The G showed {J-}{10-} and rivered a ten against Romanello who had {A-}{K-}.

Dominykas Karmazinas raised to 3,200 from the button and Tony G called from the big blind. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Tony check-called 2,000. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and he check-folded to a 5,000 chip bet.

And we had another one. From the hi-jack Tony G raised to 3,200 and Karmazinas called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Karmazinas check-called 2,500. The turn was the {10-Spades} and both players checked. On the river the {5-Spades} hit and Karmazinas bet out 15,000. Tony G folded and he is getting shorter quickly.

Costly Misstep For Watson

Daniel Alaei has just found a huge double up when his aces held up against Mike Watson. We picked up the action when Watson had put in a four-bet from the button to 17,000. Alaei had 8,500 invested from the big blind and he opted to make the call.

The flop came down {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} and Alaei checked to Watson who bet 11,200. Alaei acted very calmly and put all his chips into the pot after 30 seconds. Watson sighed right away as he was hoping for a different outcome of this hand. After doing some calculations Watson made the call creating a massive pot with only four players left.

Alaei showed his {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and Watson threw his {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} onto the table. The dealer misunderstood the action and mucked Watson's hand. Luckily he tabled it and everyone had seen what his cards were. The tournament director pulled Watson's cards from the muck and we went on as nothing had happened.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and the river the {J-Hearts} giving Alaei a big double up, and good chances to advance to the final table.

The flop came down {4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Jarvis opted to check to Watson who bet 9,600. Jarvis wasn't done with the hand and he decided to make it 20,100. After some deliberation Watson decided to shove and Jarvis called all-in for around 41,000 total.

Mike Watson{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Matt Jarvis{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
