$25,000 No-Limit Hold'em Semi-Shootout
Day 1 Started
With tournaments costing $100,000 and $250,000 a $25,000 buy-in is hardly a High Roller anymore. Or is it? Tournaments like today always attract some of the best in the world, and we expect to see some amazing fireworks throughout the day.
This tournament will take three days, and today we will most likely play down to the final 18 players. These 18 players will come back tomorrow for three six-handed tables. From those three six-handed tables the final two players will advance to the, once again, six-handed final table.
We are hoping to see a good amount of players, but we will lose some super high roller due to the $250,000 tournament that's is also being played out today. Stay tuned for all the action from the Crown Casino as the started is planned for 2pm local Melbourne time.
It is still very quiet in the Crown Poker Room as the $25,000 Semi-Shootout players have not shown up yet. There are three tables ready to go, but the tournament might be on a bit of a delay.
The tournament start has been delayed until 3:15 pm. At the moment there are 10 players registered and there will be no late registration if there are 18 players or less. Make your way to the tournament area quickly and join the action!
We are starting in 10 minutes. The goal now is to start off with three short-handed tables and play down to 12, when the shootout format will commence. There will be late registration for those interested in playing.
