Hansen and Gruissem Battle; Phua and Yong Enjoy the Show

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Gus Hansen and Phillip Gruissem went to a flop, and the dealer spread the {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} on the board. When Paul Phua and Richard Yong saw the paired flop, they got a little excited and began pointing and yelling.

The action was on Hansen first, and he bet 16,600. Gruissem took some time, then called to see the turn.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and this brought upon more pointing, yelling and smiles from Phua and Yong. Gruissem shot a look to his left and laughed while Hansen slid out a bet of 31,600. Gruissem went back to a stoic face, tanked and called.

The river was the {8-Diamonds}, and Phua and Yong burst out once again. Jason Mercier got a nice little laugh out of this, as action was on Hansen. He checked, then Gruissem took some time before firing a bet of 85,000. Hansen folded, and Gruissem won the pot.
