River Fold from Karlic

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Gerald Karlic seemed to really hate folding in a sizeable hand versus Alex Lynskey just now.

A big pile of chips had ventured to the middle of the table by the time the board rested as {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Karlic (SB) checked to face a 230,000 bet from Lynskey (CO). After several minutes of thought, he folded.

Hachem Asked the Question First Hand

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

On the very first hand, Tony Hachem was asked the question for his tournament life but ultimately folded.

Brian Rast opened from under the gun and Hachem defended his big blind to see a {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop. Rast continued for 32,000 and was check-raised up to 75,000. Rast played with his stack of T25,000 chips and slid a big pile across to set the Australian all in.

Hachem procrastinated for a while before he folded.

Welcome Back for Day 4 of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event

Raiden Kan
Raiden Kan

Things are getting serious at the APPT Aussie Millions Poker Championship Main Event. Just 30 players remain as the event gets down to the business end. Everyone is guaranteed at least AU$30,000 right now but the payout jumps will get steeper as the day progresses.

Raiden Can leads heading in to today after a great second half of the day yesterday. He leads a top five that looks like:

1 Raiden Kan 1,775,000
2 Andrew Chen 1,165,000
3 Brian Rast 1,156,000
4 Gerald Karlic 1,085,000
5 Richard Lyndaker 943,000

Defending champion Ami Barer doubled on the second to last hand yesterday to give himself a fighting chance of defending his title and a certain Phil Ivey will be looking to repeat the calm and collected manner he showed at the tables yesterday.

There's no time limit on how long play will continue today, it'll stop when the final table of seven is reached. Join is back here at 12:30PM when the race to the final table will commence.
