Baker Doubles Through Ricciardello

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Steven Baker raised with his short stack and Jozef Ricciardello three-bet all in with the superior stack out of the blinds. Baker tank-called for 27,300 with the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and had a flip against Ricciardello's {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

On the {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Spades} flop, Baker was rooting for a spade but his wish was not yet granted with the {K-Clubs} appearing on the turn. The {7-Diamonds} river however kept him in the tournament.

Silver Still Sliding

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Max Silver continues to slide after doubling up Andrew Chang a minute ago.

He snap-called Chang's 24,000-chip shove with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and was light years ahead of Chang's {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, but a king on the flop of the {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} run out did the trick for Chang.

Galindo Lopez Doubles

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With around 30,000 chips in the pot and the board reading {3-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Josep Maria Galindo Lopez checked and then faced the shove of Huy Pham. The Spaniard called it off for his last 44,400 with the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Pham only had a straight draw and a pair of sixes with his {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

The {3-Diamonds} river blanked and Galindo Lopez doubled.

Thiessen Among Bustouts

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Daniel Levy, Pei Lin and Adrian Stone have been eliminated. And then there was also the media card of Eric Thiessen laying on the desk as well. The Belgian had started well and then got involved in a four-bet shove and call. The {A-}{K-} of the Belgian lost the flip against Octavian Voegele's pocket jacks and that was it for Thiessen.

Dawley Doubles

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Zachery Schneider shoved the button and Jessica Dawley woke up with the {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} in the small blind, calling all in for close to 40,000.

Schneider was miles behind with the {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and was left drawing dead after the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} board ran out to the turn.

He hit his ace when the {a-Hearts} came down on the river, but all that did was make Dawley a Broadway straight.

Simard Doubles; Lin Busts

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Marie Simard open-shoved for around 16 big blinds and Celina Lin tank-called from the cutoff with pretty much the same stack, holding {A-Clubs}{Q-}. Simard had the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and spiked a set on the board {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Lin had only three antes left after the hand and those vanished one hand later when an opponent made a flush with {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} on a board of {2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Pham Takes the Lead

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On the three-way turn {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Alek Givotovsky bet 14,000 and was called by one player before Huy Pham moved all in. Givotovsky called it off with the {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} whereas the other player folded. Pham turned over {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair and held up with the {5-Clubs} as final community card.

Lackovic Thriving

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Matas Cimbolas opened the action with a raise and Thanh Do moved all in for 26,800. Didier Guerin called from the small blind and then Nikola Lackovic reshoved for 78,900 from the big blind. Guerin tanked for a fair amount of time and eventually called off for just less than half of his stack.

Do: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Guerin: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Lackovic: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Lackovic took down the big pot with a set of kings.

Java Brews a Double

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Star-of-day chip leader Francesco Sergi opened to 6,400 and Max Silver three-bet to 15,800 before Nipun Java jammed it in for 30,700 total.

Sergi stepped out of the way, but Silver was priced in and made the call with the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Java had the dominating {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and held through a {K-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} run out.
