Holz Gets Short

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dietrich Fast opened to 8,000 first to act and picked up just one caller in Sam Greenwood out of the big blind. The Canadian checked the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and Fast continued for 5,000, but quickly folded to Greenwood's check-raise to 20,000.

Michael Lim limped under the gun, Fedor Holz called in the hijack as did Sam Higgs in the cutoff, while Fast checked his option from the big blind. On the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, Holz bet 6,000 and Higgs was the only caller. The {A-Spades} turn went check, check, and Holz check-called a bet of 8,000 by Higgs to muck when shown {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Holz raised to 9,000 with 50,000 behind and Christian Christner reraised to 27,000 in order to force a fold.

Fast won a pot against Manig Loeser on the turn of a board {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} turn after a second barrel for 30,000 did the trick.

Last but not least, Higgs opened to 10,000 and was called by Greenwood, Lim and Holz in the big blind. There was no betting action on the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop and Greenwood's bet of 15,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn won the pot uncontested.
