Vos Doubles Through Dyb

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Mark Vos
Mark Vos

Two hands in a row Kjell Dyb took on two shorter stacks and lost one of those encounters while recovering most of the chips the very next hand. First he took on Mark Vos for 11,800 with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} versus {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Vos doubled thanks to a board of {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Next, a short stack shoved from under the gun with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Dyb called with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and the pot was sent to the Norwegian.

Suchanek Gets Koren to Surrender

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Jan Suchanek and Artur Koren each put 3,000 in on a {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop and Suchanek bet 7,000 more on the {10-Diamonds} turn out of the big blind. Koren thought briefly and mucked.

Suchanek took the pot, but he's still well below his peak, when he was sniffing the 100K range.

Geilich Reading Souls

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich was deep in the tank when we got to his table with {5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} on the felt. He had checked in the cutoff and was facing a bet of 25,000 into 20,000 from his opponent on the button. Geilich took awhile and then dropped in calling chips.

The player on the button simply nodded and showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Geilich showed he'd called with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Nutty Flop for Young

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Max Young opened for a raise late and got two callers. We didn't see what happened on the flop but the board read {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} when Young bet 4,100 and got two calls. On the {3-Spades} river, he bet 9,500. The player on his left called right away but a player in the blinds sighed and mucked his {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. That was the right move since Young had flopped full with {k-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Engel Doubles Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

While 2017 champ Shane Vijayaram is long gone by now, 2016 winner Ari Engel still has a shot to become the first-ever two-time Aussie Millions Main Event winner. In a blind battle, Engel gave his stack a nice boost to improve his chances of achieving the improbable.

After the small blind had opened to 1,500, Engel three-bet to 5,700 and called off a shove for 35,500 total.

Small blind: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Ari Engel: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

No sweat for Engel on {5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and he doubled up.
