O'Dwyer Runs Into Watson's Blades

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

It seemed that big blind Mike Watson just flatted Steve O'Dwyer's raise on the button and they got it in on the {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. Watson checked, O'Dwyer bet 30,000, Watson check-shoved and O'Dwyer called.

Watson: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
O'Dwyer: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

O'Dwyer trailed but a bunch of outs could pull his hand ahead. The {6-Spades} turn and the {j-Diamonds} river changed nothing, though.

Michael Addamo isn't giving up yet, as he reentered again and is seated at Table 8.

Yotsushika Dispatched by Soyza

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Kazuhiko Yotsushika was all in from the small blind and Michael Soyza looked him up with a dominating hand. Yotsushika had {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and it was practically over for him already on the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Spades} flop as Soyza's {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} connected strongly. The {6-Diamonds} turn made Yotshushika's exit definitive.

Smith Shoves on Fox

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Dan Smith and Elio Fox each put in 45,000 on a board of {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, though we didn't see who did the betting. On the {q-Spades} river, Smith shoved for 129,000 effective and Fox mucked without delay.

Addamo Falls to Katz

Level 9 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Michael Addamo open-shoved for 126,000 from the hijack and Cary Katz reraised all in from the small blind. Aaron van Blarcum folded in the big and the cards were turned up.

Addamo: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Katz: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Katz prevailed on the {5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Addamo lost his second bullet.

Adams Busts Sam Greenwood

Level 8 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma made it 17,000 in the hijack and Sam Greenwood three-bet shoved for 100,500 from the button. Timothy Adams called from the big blind and Toma let his hand go.

Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Adams: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop gave Greenwood a flush draw and he hit a pair on the {5-Spades} turn. The {7-Hearts} river didn't help him, however, and Adams finished with a straight to eliminate the fellow Canadian.

Kenney Ships on van Blarcum

Level 8 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Michael Addamo raised early and Bryn Kenney made it 55,000 in the hijack. Aaron van Blarcum cold-called in the small blind and they went heads up to {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Van Blarcum checked and Kenney bet 45,000. Van Blarcum made it 100,000 to go and Kenney quickly jammed for 357,000.

"Ohhh, I can't imagine you got this hand beat, buddy," van Blarcum said.

He tanked long enough to use three time extensions then conceded the pot.

Davies Gives Up, Saves Some Ammo

Level 8 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Michael Zhang was in the big blind, checking the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} turn to Seth Davies by the time the action was picked up. Davies wagered a hefty bet of 80,000 and Zhang called.

The river fell {5-Clubs} and Zhang checked again. Davies decided to skip the final chance to bluff and tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a whiff. Zhang showed {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and claimed the pot.

Kenney Rips it Cold

Level 8 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

George Wolff raised to 17,000 under the gun, Aaron van Blarcum called in the hijack, and Kazuhiko Yotsushika made it 43,000 in the cutoff. Bryn Kenney shoved it all in from the big blind for 331,000 and chased everyone else out of the pot.

At another table, Matthias Eibinger headed for the rail after sending the last of his chips to nemesis Tsugunari Toma.
