Behnert and Sinclair Latest Eliminations

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Michael Behnert was all in with {8-}{8-} against the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Ali Ghezelbash, and failed to catch up with the board coming {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to bust.

Meanwhile, Jack Sinclair was all in for around 35,000 with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and was flipping against Joni Jouhkimainen who held {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The pair were discussing what flop would be "fair" to come out, but you'd guess the {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board was not one of them, as it gave Jouhkimainen a full house. Sinclair still had backdoors to a straight flush but the {5-Spades}{j-Spades} runout did not help him and he exited the tournament area.

"He took that rather well," said tablemate Kahle Burns.

Rafferty Triples; Srejic Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

There was a three-way all in in progress at Table 29 with Thibaut Klinghammer as the big stack holding {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. The short stack was Tom Rafferty who was all in for around 38,000 with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and the third player involved was Goran Srejic with {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Srejic picked up a pair on the {9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop but there was no further improvement as the {6-Spades}{3-Hearts} came to hand Rafferty the triple up and send Srejic to the rail.

Burns Bluffs a Bit Off

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Joni Jouhkimainen was in the big blind on {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and he bet 7,000 into about 14,000. Kahle Burns called from early position and the river was the {a-Spades}. Jouhkimainen checked and Burns bet 19,000. Jouhkimainen called after some thought, and Burns could only muster {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for an airball. Jouhkimainen had {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Tony G and Hinh Next to Bust

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Tony G
Tony G

According to Pierce McKellar, he recently eliminated Tony G with {a-}{10-} against {7-}{6-} for Tony G's last 45,000. That moved McKellar above 200,000 in chips.

Meanwhile, Daniel Hinh opened and Paul Abela three-bet from the big blind. Hinh called and the pair checked the {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Abela bet 4,000. Hinh raised to 10,000 and Abela re-raised to 26,000. Hinh called.

The river was the {5-Hearts}. Abela bet 40,000 and called a shove for 60,000 from Hinh. Abela held {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a rivered full house, beating the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flopped full house of Hinh.

Julien Sitbon was all in for 50,300 pre-flop against Alex Lynskey.

Alex Lynskey: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Julien Sitbon: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Sitbon was behind and there was no help for him on the {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. However, the turn brought a {j-Diamonds} to put him in the lead, and the river {q-Diamonds} secured him a double.

Burns Drops Another

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Shao Liu bet 15,000 from early position on {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Kahle Burns called on the button. The river was a {9-Hearts} and Liu bet 50,000.

"I should raise," Burns said as he dropped in calling chips moments later.

It wouldn't have worked, as Liu held {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a full house.

Double Knockout Vaults Ha to Big Stack

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Mai Ha
Mai Ha

Mai Ha was complaining that he was moved to another table as he was running the table banter over on table 48. He didn't mind as much soon after, however, when he won a spectacular three-way all-in to send Spiros Maroulis and Qiu Wenjian to the rail.

John Chu had raised from under the gun and after that the action escalated as Maroulis ended up all in for around 100,000 and Wenjian, too, for more than that while Ha had the covering stack for 179,200 total.

Spiros Maroulis: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Qiu Wenjian: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Mai Ha: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board came {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} and the aces held up to send both Maroulis and Wenjian to the rail. No longer featured on the table is also Brendon Rubie, who had previously lost his short stack to Maroulis.
