2026 Aussie Millions Poker Championship
Level: 17
Blinds: 5,000/10,000
Ante: 10,000
The remaining 98 players take their second 15-minute break of the day.
Action is due to resume at 5.53 p.m.
The player first to act shoved for his last 122,000 and it was folded to William Lim aka "Mr. Miyagi", who went into the tank on the button.
Apparently the two had some history, and Lim said, "I'm going to kill you this time!" before sticking a call into the middle. Everyone else folded and a showdown was held.
Opponent: A♣Q♣
William Lim: K♦Q♦
Lim was dominated and remained behind on the 10♦7♠3♠ flop. However, the K♥ turn paired Lim's king and onlookers shouted "Miyagi style!"
The Q♠ river kept Lim ahead and he added to his already monster stack to climb to about 1,400,000.
Hieu Nguyen called a 16,000 open from the cutoff and players went heads up to the flop.
The 7♣5♥5♠ board saw Nguyen check-call a 23,000 bet by the cutoff, and the A♦ was turned.
Nguyen checked the turn, and the cutoff continued for 60,000. Nguyen was slow to make the call, but paid to see the A♥ river.
The table saw Nguyen check, and the cutoff checked behind. Nguyen turned over A♣J♥ for a full house and the cutoff abruptly threw his hand into the muck.
Faraz Ayyaz opened on the button and just behind him, the player in the small blind shoved for his last 150,000. Action was back on Ayyaz, who tanked a bit, but eventually stuck calling chips into the middle with a covering stack.
Small blind: K♥10♠
Faraz Ayyaz: 8♦8♠
It was a race, but the 8♥7♥7♦ flop gave Ayyaz a full house to leave his opponent drawing nearly dead.
The A♥J♠ runout changed nothing and Ayyaz collected his opponent's stack.
Just 101 players remain with 95 making the money.
Michael Gathy opened to 16,000 from the hijack and called a three-bet of 62,000 from Didier Guerin, who was in the small blind.
Both players checked on the 8♦7♥6♣ flop and then Gathy called a 72,000 bet from Guerin on the A♦ turn.
The 5♦ completed the board and Guerin checked, prompting a 140,000 bet from Gathy.
Guerin quickly laid his hand down and rapped the table, awarding the pot to Gathy without a showdown.
Timothy Jenkins opened from an early position and action folded around to Peter Lin who moved all in for his remaining 33,000 from the small blind. Jenkins said "Good luck man" as he topped up to call.
Peter Lin: 5♦5♣
Timothy Jenkins: 9♦7♦
The A♥J♦4♠ flop was good for Lin, and he was calling for a "Picture, picture" card.
His luck continued on the Q♠ turn and 10♣ river as he secured a clean double up.
Malcolm Trayner raised to 22,000 from the small blind and was called by the players in the big blind.
The big blind called a 15,000 bet from Trayner on the 6♦8♠8♥ flop and then Trayner check-called a 25,000 on the K♥ turn.
Both players checked down on the 10♠ river and the big blind showed Q♠10♣ for tens-up. Trayner revealed K♦6♣ for kings-up and was sent the pot.
Xin Xu was all in and at risk from middle position for his remaining 50,000. He was covered by the button.
Xin Xu: 7♥7♣
Button: A♥10♥
Xu was ahead, and just needed to hold to stay alive within the freezeout. The K♣8♥6♥ flop brought in the sweat of a flush draw for his opponent, but Xu locked up the much-needed double after seeing the 6♣ turn and 6♠ river.
