Keenan Four-Bet Jams

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Patrick Barba opened to 25,000 from under the gun, and Tom Karadimos on his left three-bet to 50,000. It then folded to James Keenan in the hijack, who took some time, before four-betting all in for his stack of 510,000.

It then folded back to Barba who quickly mucked as well, and Karadimos confirmed the count then sat in the tank.

After using all of his 30-second shot clock, he mucked his hand to give the pot to Keenan.

As Keenan took in the pot, Karadimos said "I had a pair".

Death by Quads

Level 21 : Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Farhad Mohajerani
Farhad Mohajerani

Action was picked up with Farhad Mohajerani all in for roughly 350,000, and Michael Kanaan putting him at risk.

Farhad Mohajerani: AK All in
Michael Kanaan: JJ

It was a flip for Mohajerani's tournament life, and the J4K flop hit both players, but Kanaan took a commanding lead with his set.

Mohajerani would find the perfect turn, with the A, giving him a flush draw, and an ace or king would give him a bigger full house.

But the river was the J to give Kanaan quads, and end Mohajerani's run.

Danny McDonagh Returns to Lead Aussie Millions Relaunch

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Danny McDonagh
Danny McDonagh

Veteran poker executive Danny McDonagh will return to a familiar role in 2026 after being confirmed as tournament director for the relaunch of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2026 Presented by CrownBet, stepping back into the series he helped build into a global poker powerhouse.

Widely regarded as one of the most experienced tournament directors in the Asia-Pacific region, McDonagh was a key figure in the early rise of the Aussie Millions. And as the festival prepares for its first full edition in more than six years, the Crown Melbourne Casino has leaned on a trusted hand to help guide the festival into its next era.

Danny McDonagh

McDonagh spoke exclusively to PokerNews, and told us about his fond memories of the early explosion in Main Event player numbers from 2004 to 2007.

"It went up from 133 to 263, then to 418 and to 747 — all down to the fact that local players had the chance to compete against the cream of professional poker players, all thanks to the three-phrase satellite program," said McDonagh. "The satellite program continues to be very popular today at Crown."

He also spoke of the spectators who were able to come and rail the action.

"It made the event a real buzz! Some are railing a close friend or relative, while others are coming specially to see some of the biggest names in poker in action. Local players were very welcoming of international players. This, combined with Melbourne city and the fabulous Crown complex, helped make the Aussie Millions a must-visit stop for so many players.

"Personally it's very exciting to be coming to my hometown Melbourne as Head TD for the Aussie Millions."

Barba Picks Off the Bluff

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action folded to Victor Dai on the button who raised to 25,000 and was called by Patrick Barba in the big blind.

The flop came J97 and Barba check-called a bet of 30,000 from Dai.

Both players checked the 8 on the turn, to see the K on the river. Barba then checked a third time, before Dai bet out 90,000.

Barba took some time, using one, time extension before making the call. Dai tabled 33 for just a pair of threes, and Barba turned over the winner with A8 to take the pot with his pair of eights.

Victor Dai Leads Final 42 as Andrew Hinrichsen Seeks Final Table Return in Aussie Millions Main Event

Andrew Hinrichsen

The Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2026 Presented by CrownBet is now just one step away from its final table. Of 770 players who made their way down to the Crown Casino by the time late registration ended, just 42 contenders remain, all still chasing the prestigious Aussie Millions Main Event ring and the massive $1,667,050 AUD first-place prize.

Leading the charge into Day 4 is local pro Victor Dai, who surged to the top of the counts late last night to bag 3,225,000 — the only stack above the three-million mark. Sitting more than 40 big blinds behind him is Andrew Hinrichsen (2,400,000), arguably the most accomplished player remaining in the field with more than $2,300,000 in live tournament earnings and multiple major titles to his name. Hinrichsen will be looking to reach the Aussie Millions Main Event final table for a second time after finishing third in a three-way deal in 2019 for $1,097,739 AUD, still the largest score of his career to date.

Plenty of other poker talents remain in the field, however, all eager to to etch their names into the Aussie Millions history books. Among them are WSOP bracelet winners Malcolm Trayner (1,995,000), Sam Higgs (1,640,000), and Toby Joyce (665,000), along with Day 1a chip leader Tom McMahon, and Antonio Seremet (1,350,000), who took down the $1,500 Shot Clock Terminator event earlier in the series.

Every remaining player has already locked up a $27,720 AUD payout from the $7,700,000 AUD prize pool, but with the final table looming and pay jumps escalating rapidly, every decision now carries enormous weight — potentially marking the difference between an early exit and a life-changing score.

Day 4 resumes at 12:30 p.m. local time with 30 minutes remaining in Level 20, which features blinds of 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 big blind ante. The field will redraw at 36 players remaining, with play shifting to six-handed from that point onward until the final table of seven is reached and play concludes for the night.

Live stream action of Day 4 can be found on the Crown Resorts YouTube page here on a minimum 30-minute delay.

Only 42 players remain in the hunt for Aussie Millions glory, and by the end of today, just seven will advance to the official final table. Day 4 promises to be one of the most pivotal days of the tournament yet, so be sure to keep it with PokerNews for all the latest action straight from the tournament floor at Crown Melbourne.
