Troy Sweet has become the second elimination at the $5,000 Challenge final table, after tangling with Michael Gathy.

The pair, along with Kahle Burns, saw a flop of K♦9♠8♠ with all three checking. The turn was the J♣ and Burns checked. Sweet then shoved for 3,825,000 and was called by Gathy, with Burns folding.

Sweet held the lead with two pair, but needed to fade a lot of outs against Gathy's top pair and open-ended straight draw.

The Q♦ river filled Gathy's straight and Sweet was eliminated in eighth place.
