Jackson Warne Remembering His Father's Love of the Aussie Millions
Last time the Aussie Millions took place, Jackson Warne notched two cashes. He's now looking forward to this year's event, and rates his chances as "pretty high."
"Otherwise what's the point in playing?" he told Pepperstone, Official Trading Partner of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship Presented by CrownBet.
Jackson's father Shane Warne was also a regular at the Aussie Millions, cashing seven times at the festival including at a Joe Hachem & Shane Warne Charity Event in 2012.
Warne, who sadly passed away in 2022, was a massive poker fan, something his son remembers fondly.
"Poker for me and dad was our biggest hobby," said Jackson. "After dad finished with cricket, it was golf and poker. I'm not a very good golfer, but I love poker.
"Watching him play home games with his friends, how they'd all just laugh and play music. I knew I wanted to be in that environment. So when I was old enough I just started playing."
"Some of my happiest memories are with my dad playing poker, especially during the Aussie Millions."
