That's exactly how it worked for Bruno Portaro in the Aussie Millions Main Event who opened with pocket nines and called a three-bet from Kazuhiko Yotsushika.

When the flop came nine-high, Portaro checked it over to his opponent who shoved with just king-high. Portaro snap-called and held to double up as play approached the second break.
