Guy Taylor Deep in the Tank in the Deep Freeze
The money bubble has burst in the $2,500 Deep Freeze, with 51 players having locked up $4,490.
That includes Guy Taylor, who was involved in a hand right before the players headed off on a 45-minute dinner break.
One player had shoved pre-flop, and was called by both Taylor and a third player. The flop 10♥10♦8♣ was checked by both players and Taylor's opponent bet the 7♥ turn.
"I would never bluff a dry side pot," he said, before betting pot. Taylor called.
The river was the 2♦ and Taylor watched as his opponent moved all in blind before the river.
"I checked flop, bet turn and shoved river," said his talkative opponent as Taylor ruminated on his decision. Eventually the clock was called, and as the seconds passed Taylor made the call.
His opponent slammed A♥10♠ face up on the table, with Taylor revealing A♠10♣ with a flourish. The third player showed Ax7x and was eliminated.
"Why did you take so long?" Taylor was asked.
"Because it's obvious you weren't bluffing," said Taylor. "I was calling for a chop."
