Mikkelsen Gets Revenge; Doubles Up

Michael Pesek has been coming over the top of Dag Martin Mikkelsen's pre-flop raises all day, but this time, Mikkelsen showed some resistance and saw a flop:

{K-Diamonds}

Mikkelsen passed the first action to Pesek who opened with a 10,000 bet, to which Mikkelsen repsonded by re-raising all in.

"I'm pretty sure I have you," said Pesek, while he considered a call. "What do you have, K-10 or something?"

"Eh, I call," Pesek said, turning over {Q-Diamonds}

. Mikkelsen tabled the {J-Clubs}

for an open-ended straight draw.

The {J-Spades}

further improved Pesek's hand, giving him two pair, but the {A-Diamonds}

on the river was bad news for him, as it gave Mikkelsen the nut straight. After the hand, Mikkelsen reclaimed his spot atop the leaderboard with 138,000 in chips while Pesek dropped to about 88,000.

Winston Doubles Through Field

Josh "JJProdigy" Field opens the action with a raise to 8,000 and Roy Winston announces that he is all in. It's only 7,500 more to Field and he makes the call.

Winston: {Q-Hearts}

Field:

The flop comes {K-Spades}

and Field calls for spades as he looks for a backdoor miracle. The {5-Spades}

peels off to the "ooohs" of the crowd as Winston exclaims "Don't you do a spade...that would be rude!"

The river is the {10-Clubs}

and Winston cries out "You can't keep 'The Oracle' down!" as he doubles up to 31,000 chips.

Mikkelsen Takes a Hit; Loses Chip Lead

On a board showing {9-Spades}

, Michael Pesek led out with an 11,000 bet. Dag Martin Mikkelsen then kicked it up to 26,500. When action returned to Pesek he bet the pot, effectively moving all in for approximately 40,000 more, a bet which sent Mikkelsen into the tank.

After quite some time, Mikkelsen opted to lay it down, leaving himself with approximately 72,000 in chips. With the win, Pesek took over the chip lead, stacking up just over 110,000 in chips.

Local favorite Sam Khouiss was overheard talking to his neighbor, Dag Martin Mikkelsen:

John Dalessandri Eliminated

Dag Martin Mikkelsen raised it up pre-flop to 7,000 and John Dalessandri pushed the last of his 11,500 chips into the middle. Mikkelsen made the pot-committed call and the cards were flipped:

Mikkelsen: {A-Clubs}

Dalessandri: {5-Spades}

Dalessandri held the slight lead however the flop soon changed that when {7-Clubs}

were dealt on to the table. Mikkelsen flopped two pair, leaving Dalessandri needing only a five to survive. The turn and river came {8-Spades}

and Dalessandri is eliminated in 11th place.

Vince Moro Eliminated

Winston Doubles Early

Roy Winston got most of his stack into the middle pre-flop holding K-Q against David Bach who challenged with pocket fours. The flop came {A-Hearts}

and Bach started picking chips off of his stack to put Winston all in, but Roy beat him into the pot, tossing in his last 2,500 worth of chips.

The {K-Diamonds}

fell on the turn giving Winston trip kings and the river blanked ( {8-Diamonds}

) to give Winston the pot, worth just under 30,000 in chips.
