Kahle Burns opened to 325,000 from under the gun with 10♣9♠ and was called by Steven Zhou holding 9♦6♦ in the big blind.

Zhou led out for 150,000 on the J♠9♥7♣ flop and Burns called.

The 9♣ turn fell on the turn — improving both players to trips. Zhou then check-called an 800,000 bet from Burns.

The 8♦ river kept Burns' kicker best and Zhou checked a final time. Burns sized up for a bet of 1,400,000 and Zhou quickly called to see the bad news.

With that pot, Burns is now sitting with 18 million — which is more than three times that of Zhou, who sits a distant second.

Kahle Burns raised to 300,000 from under the gun and Louis Luo defended his big blind.

The flop came 2♥10♣7♦ and Luo decided to lead out for 400,000. Burns then made it 875,000, and Luo called.

A 5♦ fell on the turn and Luo checked this time, then Burns bet 700,000. Luo immediately moved all in for 1,500,000, and Burns snap-called.

Luo was in big trouble and needed to find a ten or an eight to stay alive in the Main Event, else he would be out in 6th. The 9♣ was close, but not close enough, and Luo hit the rail.

Chad Awerbuch Eliminated in 7th Place (A$60,000)

Action folded to the blinds, where Nelson Dong shoved from the small blind to put Chad Awerbuch all in for his last 1,200,000 in the big blind. Awerbuch quickly called to put himself at risk and a showdown was held.

It was a great spot for Awerbuch, who hadn't been able to gain much momentum during the final table.

The 3♥7♣3♠ flop and 10♦ turn were safe for Awerbuch, but a cruel 5♣ appeared on the river — getting a collective "Ooooh" from everyone else at the table as Dong paired his five to eliminate Awerbuch in seventh place.

Steven Zhou opened to 240,000 on the button with 10♥9♣ and was three-bet to 875,000 by Kahle Burns in the small blind holding K♦2♦.

Just behind him, Romain Morvan made it 1,600,000 to go from the big blind with A♦Q♠, which got a quick fold from Zhou, but a five-bet of 2,300,000 from Burns after weighing his options.

Morvan didn't take long to lay his hand down and Burns took down the pot without showing.

Luo Tries to Bluff Burns, Gets Burnt

Louis Luo made it 350,000 from the button with 7♥7♣ and Kahle Burns looked down at 10♥10♣ from the big blind.

"Do you know how much you have?" asked Burns. Luo shook his head. "You have no idea what you started the hand with?" Burns added. Eventually, Burns called.

The flop came K♠Q♣3♠ and both checked to the 9♠ turn, where again it went check-check.

A 10♠ on the river gave Burns top set and he fired out 120,000. Luo then reached for chips and put in a quick raise to 450,000 as a total bluff. Burns, with his set, had some words for Luo.

"Do you have pocket jacks, my friend?" asked Burns. Eventually, Burns called and took down the pot as Luo flipped over his bluff.

Pham took a stand from the big blind against Zhou and found himself an underdog going to the runout. A flop of A♠7♣8♠ all but sealed the deal for Pham, but suddenly he saw a way out as the 10♥ on the turn gave him an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately, the 10♣ river couldn't complete his draw, ending Pham's run in 8th.

Kahle Burns opened from under the gun to 180,000 and Romain Morvan three-bet from the next seat to 475,000. Kiavash Arbabi was in the big blind and committed his stack of 240,000. Burns then took some time before he put in a four-bet, which got a quick fold from Morvan.

Arbabi was live and had a fair chance at tripling up, otherwise he would be the final table bubble boy. The 6♣A♥7♠ flop didn't improve either player, but Burns paired his jack on the J♣ turn. Only a queen on the river could save Arbabi, but the 5♣ peeled off, leaving him out in tenth.

Just a couple of hands after doubling through Kahle Burns, Morvan opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 475,000 by Yuanting Wang in the big blind. Morvan announced he was all in for approximately 2,900,000 and Wang called all in for his last 2,800,000 after a bit of thought.

Kahle Burns opened the button to 160,000 and Romain Morvan shoved from the small blind for 1,290,000. Paawan Bansal pondered for some time in the big blind but did eventually fold, putting the action back on Burns.

"I'm gonna need a second. I might be slow-rolling," said Burns while he contemplated the decision. After around 30 seconds, Burns called.

Morvan was again flipping for his tournament life, just as he was toward the back end of Day 2. The Frenchman managed to survive yesterday and did the same here as the 2♥8♣6♠A♦J♦ runout kept his tens in the lead, earning him a double-up.
