The tournament organizers have opted to push all their chips in on a Saturday start to the event, meaning Day 1a will not be played.
They're waiting on a few more players before starting the Main Event Mania $1,500 Main Event here at Bally's.
The organizers are now aiming for a noon start time, PokerNews has been told.
With a new year comes a new poker tournament held at Bally's Las Vegas. It's time for Bally's Main Event Mania's $1,500 Main Event.
A series that's been rolling since Dec. 13 and has included several big events like a $2,200 High Roller and a few $1Ks, Main Event Mania has been provided to poker players as a supplement to the $10,000 WSOP Main Event recently held on WSOP.com. A running leaderboard throughout the series will award a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat for 2021.
As for the Main Event of the aptly named series, it'll be a $1,500 reentry with two starting flights. Each player may put in up to two bullets per flight for a maximum of four. Fifteen levels will be played per Day 1, with entries accepted until the start of Level 13 on both days.
The generous chip structure will see players provided with 50,000 in their starting stacks and 100/100 blinds with a 100 big blind ante. Play progresses through 40-minute levels until 2,000/3,000/3,000 has been played, with Day 2 playing down to a final table on Jan. 3, and the tournament crowning a winner on Jan. 4.
The tournament will be played eight-handed with masks required and plexiglass dividers in use to provide enhanced safety measures for the players and staff.
The first cards are scheduled to hit the felt at 11 a.m. and PokerNews will be on hand to provide live updates.
