Decisions are Getting Big

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Linda Rodrigues
Linda Rodrigues

Picking action up on a flop of Q63 with 50,000 in the middle, Linda Rodrigues bet 25,000 from the big blind.

Paul Kassella then moved all in for 167,500 from middle position, which sent Rodrigues into the tank.

She had been steadily building a big stack all day long but was now facing a decision that could potentially put a huge dent in it.

After a couple of minutes in the tank, Rodrigues opted to preserve her chips and fold, sending a sizeable pot to kassella.

As blinds get huge and play approaches just three tables left, decisions at each table are getting more and more important with just 15 players today advancing to Day 2 and making the money.

Martinek Doubles Up

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joy Martinek
Joy Martinek

There was about 20,000 in the middle on a turn board of 10106K when Joy Matinek checked in middle position to her opponent in late position.

He bet 10,000 and Martinek moved all in for 37,500. Her opponent happily called and thought he had knocked out Martinek as he showed his J8 for a turned flush.

Martinek however turned over K10 for a turned full house to leave him drawing dead as she boosts her stack into six figures as the field is now down to five tables.
