Stinnett Walks into Rockets

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded to Paul Stinnett, in the hijack, who raised all in for 40,200. The player in the cutoff flat called, Steve Moutrey, on the button, reraised all in for 142,500. The small blind and big blind folded, as did the cutoff and the players showed their hands with Stinnett at risk.

Paul Stinnett: A6
Steve Mountrey: AA

It was bad news for Stinnett but the flop came 34J, giving Stinnett a flush draw, but the K turn and 3 river was no help and Stinnett made his way out of the tournament room.

The Hunt for the Double Bag

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Kourtney Sims

Looking around the field there are two players already in Day 2 that are playing Day 1b in the hunt for the second bag.

The Bar Poker Open Championship has a 'best stack forward' rule allowing players to play multiple Day 1's and can take their largest stack through to Day 2.

They also pay out $1,500 per forfeited stack, so it is worth the endeavour for these players.

Last year's second-place finisher, Kourtney Sims, is still in the field today with a stack of 79,000. She bagged 185,000 for Day 2 yesterday and is looking to bring a bigger stack back from today's action.

The other player is Will Unruh, who is currently sitting last in the Day 2 chip counts with 5,000 chips. Having less than a single ante for Day 2 could prove tough for Unruh so he is out in the field looking to bag something much more healthy.
