Day 1a2 of the 2025 Bar Poker Open Vegas World Championship has wrapped up at the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas. From the 219 entrants who took their seats, just 11 players have advanced to Day 2, set for Wednesday, June 11. Those still in contention will return to compete for a share of the estimated $400,000+ prize pool, with $100,000 reserved for the eventual champion.

The player who topped the leaderboard at the end of the day was Vincent Loria, who bagged an impressive 1,280,000. Loria was fairly quiet throughout the day, setting the trap for a dominant performance towards the end of the day. As the later game progressed, he continued to build his stack steadily.

Trailing not far behind in second place is Wieslaw Skiba, who finished the day with 910,000. Skiba stayed active throughout the session, picking up several medium-sized pots and avoiding major confrontations. Skiba’s surge came when he was on the right side of a cooler with Thomas Gigilo. Skiba was also the man responsible for bursting the bubble.

Rounding out the top three is Dennis Coleman, who ended the night with a healthy stack of 560,000. Known for a vast experience within these games and structures, Coleman quietly chipped up for most of the day before scoring a big pot near the last level, locking up a podium finish in the overnight counts.

The 11 players finished with 22:59 left in Level 19, with blinds at 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante. The starting blind level on Day 2 will be the lower of the final levels from all Day 1 flights.

A “Second Chance” flight runs Tuesday, June 10 at 11 a.m., but is only available to players who participated in one of today’s flights. Those who qualify from both flights take their best stack forward to Day 2 and earn a $1,500 bonus.
