Miller Gets Mashed

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Howard Mash

Four players committed 1,600 apiece preflop to see the dealer bring {3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on board. Michael Miller was first to act in the small blind and led out with a bet of 2,000. The big blind folded and under the gun called, sending action across the table to Howard Mash in the cutoff. Mash also called.

"Three players," said the dealer, spreading the turn {2-Clubs}. Miller bet another 3,200 and the under-the-gun player called again. Mash looked down at his chips and then announced he was all in for what amounted to be 17,700. Miller called all in for less and then the under-the-gun player asked for confirmation of the number before sending his cards to the muck.

Michael Miller: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Howard Mash: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Miller had called it all off with his turned flush draw and ran into a turned wheel. Another club failed to come on the river {3-Diamonds} and he was eliminated while Mash is now over 40,000.

Dapo Ajayi in Day 1a action

"I'm back!" said Dapo Ajayi as he walked by PokerNews en route to his new seat. Ajayi was an early arrival on Day 1a yesterday but was unable to find a bag after being eliminated by eventual chip second-place stack Ken Stacy during the final hour of the night. This time, he has chosen to bypass the first level of play on the day, taking his seat early in Level 2.

Mroczkowski Gets A Bad Turn And A Good River

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

There was 1,700 in the middle on a board of {5-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and action was on Eddy Mroczkowski in the hijack. He had checked and was facing a bet from of 1,000 from Richard Evans, who was on the button.

Mroczkowski check-raised to 2,600 and Evans called, bringing the turn {10-Clubs}. Both players checked and the river came {10-Diamonds}, where Mroczkowski bet 2,300 and Evans quickly announced a call.

"That was a bad turn for me," said Mroczkowski as he showed {k-Spades}{5-Spades}. Evans tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

"But a good river!" he added, resulting in laughter across the table as the dealer chopped up the pot and paid both players.

Elias and Herstein Seated Together Once More

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Darren Elias and Gary Herstein
Darren Elias and Gary Herstein

After being seated directly next to one another with Gary Herstein holding position on Darren Elias to start the day yesterday, the two players later found themselves in the exact relative positions to each other at a new table several hours later.

Fate would have it that the two are seated together for the third time in two days, with Herstein once again holding position on Elias, and the two wasted no time getting involved in a pot together.

Preflop action put 1,600 into the middle with Herstein in the small blind, another player under the gun, and Elias on the button. Action checked to Elias on the flop [5sac5d and he bet 900. Only Herstein called.

The two went heads up to the turn {4-Hearts} and Herstein tossed out one 1,000 chip, announcing a bet of 900 in conjunction with the toss. Elias saw for about 15 seconds and then shook his head briefly before sending his cards to the muck, earning Herstein the early small exchange.
