Burns Busts Clayton

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Russell Clayton
Russell Clayton

Russell Clayton was just eliminated from the tournament, but was kind enough to share the details of his elimination with PokerNews.

David Dibernardi raised in the hijack and was three-bet by David Burns in the small blind. Clayton called in the big blind, as did Dibernardi.

On the {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, Burns bet 12,000, Clayton called, but Dibernardi folded.

On the {j-Diamonds} turn, Burns moved all in, covering Clayton, and Clayton decided to go with his hand and call.

David Burns: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Russell Clayton: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Clayton had the nut flush draw and an overcard with his ace, but the {4-Hearts} on the river brought him no help, and the colorful Clayton's day came to an end.

Ryan Hogan
Ryan Hogan

With about 25,000 in the middle on a turn board of {4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, Ryan Hogan checked to Steven Rash from middle position and Rash bet 16,000. Hogan made the call.

The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Hogan moved all in for Rash's final 40,000. Rash opted to fold, sending a pot to Hogan that puts him in six-figure territory.

Ferro Across 200,000

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jacob Ferro
Jacob Ferro

Jacob Ferro was just seen with a huge stack of chips and he relayed the details of the hand to Pokernews.

As told by Ferro, he raised to 1,600 under the gun and was three-bet to 4,000 by the button. The small blind then cold-called, so Ferro came with a four-bet to 15,000. Both opponents called, creating a sizeable pot already.

On the {4-}{2-}{2-} flop, Ferro continued for 11,000 and got called by both opponents.

The turn brought a {6-} and now Ferro bet 27,000, leaving himself roughly 35,000 behind. The button folded, but the small blind called.

On the {7-} river, the small blind moved all in for Ferro's remaining stack and he called with {a-}{a-}, winning the pot versus the small blind's {a-}{k-}.

Ferro Calls Correctly in Big Spot

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

There was about 30,000 in the middle on a turn board of {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} when Brian Schaedlich moved all in from the hijack for Jacob Ferro's last 18,000 chips.

Ferro was in the cutoff and he went deep into the tank before landing on an impressive call for his tournament life.

Jacob Ferro: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Brian Schaedlich: {7-Spades}{5-Spades}

Scahedlich had called with third pair of sevens with an ace kicker and was ahead of Schaedlich's inferior seven with a flush draw.

The river {j-Clubs} bricked Scaedlich's draw and the pot was shipped to Ferro.
