Brandon Mincher limped in under the gun, as did Hamza Azim two seats down. Daniel Monosson limped in too, from the small blind, and David Stevens checked his option in the big blind.
A♣Q♥J♣ action checked to Azim, who bet out for 3,000. Monosson folded, and Stevens raised to 10,000. Azim moved all in after Mincher folded, and Stevens made the call.

The A♠9♥ runout was no help to Stevens, as he exited the tournament.
Brandon Mincher, who had recently re-entered, opened to 2,500 from early position. Joe McKeehen, sat to his direct left, made it 6,600 to go, and Mincher called once it had folded back to him.
Mincher then check-called a bet of 4,000 on the 4♠9♥9♦ flop, and check-called another on the 8♦ turn, this time to the tune of 8,000.
The Q♣ then peeled off on the river, and Mincher checked for a third time. McKeehen pushed forward a stack of T-5,000 chips, putting his opponent's stack of 22,400 at risk. Mincher thought for a while before folding.
At another table, Alan Sternberg entered the event.
Aaron Pinson moved all in for his final 200 chips under the gun. Max Young to his left made it 3,000 to go, before Jeremy Flieder three-bet to 8,000 on the button. Young made the call, before check-folding to a bet on the J♥J♦6♣ flop.
