One night in November 2024 I was playing online poker when I came across a curious tweet. It was Allen Kessler, he had an extra Las Vegas Raiders ticket, and he needed someone to go with.

Though I'm no big sports fan, I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a day out with a poker legend. And, like the Chainsaw, I am not inclined to turn down freebies.

I sent Kessler a DM and went back to online poker. I'd nearly forgotten about it an hour later when I opened my phone and saw an unread message. It was Kessler telling me to text him. I did and got a text back a few minutes later.

"You going to the game?"

I told him I was and he informed me to meet at the off-Strip M Resort the following morning to make the 11 a.m. shuttle to Allegiant Stadium.

Here is the story of my day out Kessler, who is hosting his Chainsaw Mixed Series of Poker series here at the 2026 Borgata Fall Poker Open.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this story.
