The 2019 WPT Borgata Poker Open $3,500 Championship drew a total of 1,156 entries which accumulated a prize pool of $3,700,356, smashing the three million guarantee that was set.
A total of 145 players will be walking out with at least a min-cash of $5,797 and the eventual champion will be adding a hefty $616,186 to their resume, along with a prestigious WPT trophy.
Barry Leventhal is a long-time regular here at Borgata with eight titles, four of them Seniors event wins, but we've been missing him for most of this series.
His mother, Estelle Molly Leventhal, was 92 years of age and suffered a stroke about 10 days ago, after which she was only expected to live for a few hours. Proving she was just as tough as her son, it was nine days later that she left this earth, yesterday at 6pm.
Services will be held Thursday, September 19th, 10am-12pm at I. J. Morris Funeral Home, 1700 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
From all of the Borgata Poker family, our hearts go out to Barry and his family during this time.
The ones we love never go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, yet always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
The remaining players will now be taking a 75-minute dinner break.

The initial raiser folded and Effron five-bet all in without hesitation for 117,500 total. Fashakin thought for a moment but in the end, he let his cards go into the muck. Effron showed the
