For every Open Series (five times a year) Borgata has a drawing for players who enter their information on theBorgata.com tournament web site. One player is randomly selected and awarded a free seat in the Championship event.

This time it was a well-known player: Soukha Kachittavong. He's got more than $1.5 million in tournament earnings and most recently won the 2019 Fall Poker Open Kick-Off DeepStack event for $87,443. That was the second time he won a major series kick-off event and his fourth Borgata title overall.

WPT Seminole Rock & Roll Poker Open Main Event Champion Stefanov in the Field

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Milen Stefanov
Milen Stefanov

Milen Stefanov won the $3,500 WPT Seminole Rock & Roll Poker Open Main Event two months ago for $545,070 after defeating Fabian Gumz heads-up and is looking for another WPT title here in Atlantic City but just lost a little pot.

Ronald Citrenbaum raised to 500 from the cutoff and Stefanov defended his big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, Stefanov check-called the 600 continuation-bet of Citrenbaum.

The turn brought them the {3-Spades}, Stefanov checked again and now Citrenbaum bet 1,000 which was called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Diamonds} for both players to check. Stefanov revealed the {10-Diamonds} for two pair but Citrenbaum held {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for the higher two pair and the pot.

Cathy Dever had the button and got to the river with a desert-dry board reading {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Her opponent in middle position checked it and Dever fired 10,000 into the pot.

He tanked for a minute, then released his hand, surrendering the pot to Dever.
