Super Survivor Siegel Out Early

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Eric Siegel
Eric Siegel

Eric Siegel has been crushing the survivors during this series, but could not put together a deep run in the Championship event. His final hand was ace-king and he ran smack into pocket Aces.

He's not re-entering the Championship, but rather has joined Event #21: $230 DeepStack NLH, which is running just inside the Event Center entrance.

First Break of the Day

With 1,264 entries showing on the tournament clock, the 585 remaining players have been sent for an extended 20-minute break. At the end of the break, the late registration and reentry period will officially be closed.

After the break, the level duration will be increased to 75 minutes each.

Flipping Out During the Break

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Tim Burden
Tim Burden

During the break, Borgata was running "One and Done" single hand "Flip-Outs", where ten players put in $360 each and they run out one hand. The player with the best hand walks away with $3,500 in cash.

Two iterations were run during the break and the first was won by Tim Burden, whose {k-Spades}{q-Spades} made the second-nut-flush, good for $3,500.

The second round was won by Sridhar Sangannagari after a tease by Maurice Hawkins. The board read {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Hawkins had {q-}{2-} for trip deuces, but Sangannagari flipped over his cards and found {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for jacks-full to take the $3,500!

Kachittavong Out of Championship

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Soukha Kachittavong
Soukha Kachittavong

The free-rolling Soukha Kachittavong has busted out of the Championship event, despite his best efforts. He was free-rolling the event, thanks to the Borgata's promotion where a free $3,500 seat is awarded based on a random drawing from players who entered on their web site.

With $1.5 million in tournament earnings, he was a good shot at parlaying that free entry into a payday, but it was not to be. He's likely to turn up in the $5,100 High Roller later today.

Stout Shoots Kessler Down

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

Matthew Stout raised to 3,500 from the cutoff and Allen Kessler three-bet by putting almost his whole stack in. Stout responded with an insta-shove and Kessler snap-called for the rest of his stack.

Allen Kessler: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Matthew Stout: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to not help Kessler as he was eliminated.

"I was so sad to be picking these up with Allen in the big blind, didn't think I'd get action," Stout commented.
