Bin Weng opened to 12,000 from early position. It folded to Nicholas Scholz, who had 6,000 behind. After some time in the tank, he called off his stack from the cutoff. Kevin Grabel called on the button before the blinds got out of the way.
Weng check-folded his 5♥3♥ to a bet of 15,000 on the 10♦9♣5♦ flop for the cards to go on their backs.

Grabel was miles ahead, and to make matters worse for Scholz, two of his jack outs were dead.
The board completed with the 8♣6♣ and Scholz departed before the money.

In a single-raised pot to the 9♦3♦2♠ flop, Changfeng Fan was all-in for 101,000 on the button and looked up by Nicholas Verderamo in the big blind.

Both players held flush draws but Verderamo also had a pair already.
The 4♣ turn gave Fan more outs with the wheel draw but he instead spiked the 8♣ on the river to survive.

Esther Taylor was all in for roughly her final 30,000 preflop from the the big blind, at risk against Xiaoqiong Liu from the cutoff and Maxwell Young on the button.
The 8♠7♣3♥2♥9♠ board was checked down until the river when Liu check-folded to a bet of 100,000 from Young.

Yound rivered a straight while Taylor missed a flush draw, but her king-high was ahead against at least one opponent, and she was eliminated just four spots from the money.

Kevin Nee raised to 12,000 under the gun and was called by Andrew Porter in the cutoff, Concetta Rinaldi on the button, and Adnan Mohammad in the big blind.
All four players checked the 8♥10♠4♠ flop. Mohammad then bet 21,000 on the 3♥ turn, and only Porter called.
The river was the 3♦ and Mohammad bet 51,000. Porter tanked for a minute before calling with A♥K♦, and Mohammad flashed jack-seven as he mucked.

Andrew Chang bet 11,000 from early position on a flop of 6♥7♦3♦ as action went on Blake Vogdes in the big blind. "Can you call the clock on someone when they have time banks?" tablemate Maurice Hawkins asked tournament officials as Vogdes took his time before raising to 26,000. Chang then moved all in, and Vogdes called for 60,000.

Chang showed a flopped set, while Vogdes was looking to complete a straight draw. The 8♠ turn was no help, and the 3♣ fell on the river to give Chang a full house and send Vogdes to the rail.

Robert Saladin jammed for 75,000 under the gun before David Kilcoyne rejammed for 81,000 from middle position. In the small blind, Colin Moll used two time extensions before he called to put both at risk.

Moll was in very rough shape against the exact hands of the short-stacked players as the 8♣6♦3♥ flop kept Kilcoyne's jacks in the front.
The 10♠ turn brought a small sweat, but the river was the 6♥ as Kilcoyne tripled his stack and Saladin was eliminated.

Wesley Shi raised to 15,000 under the gun and Logan Eisner called in the cutoff. Joe McKeehen then reraised to 127,000 in the small blind, leaving only a few chips behind. Shi folded, while Eisner then moved all in and McKeehen called off the rest of his stack.

McKeehen fell further behind as the flop came Q♦7♦8♥ to give Eisner top set. The turn was the 5♥, and McKeehen was already up from his seat as the Q♣ fell on the river to give Eisner quads.
"Let me take a picture," tablemate Tom Gottlieb said.
"You've never seen quads before?" the dealer replied.

Bin Weng A♦Q♥ opened to 12,000 from under the gun and was called by Gregory Bauer 10♦10♣, who was two seats over. Michael Renna K♠8♠ three-bet to 45,000 from middle position and the action folded back to Weng. He made it 122,000, and folded out both opponents.
