In the late stages of the current level, Concetta Rinaldi bet the A♠Q♦J♣3♠4♠ river for 90,000 and John McDonald in the big blind check-called.
Rinaldi showed the A♥J♦ and McDonald mucked, then shook his head.
Sean Ruane opened to 27,000 from middle position and Colin Moll flatted in the hijack.
On the A♠Q♣3♠ flop, Ruane led for 25,000 and Moll instantly called.
Ruane slowed down with a check on the A♣ turn. Moll bet 50,000, and Ruane called.
The river brought the 8♦ as Ruane check-called a final bet of 75,000 from Moll.

Alex Queen jammed for his final 104,000 from the hijack and Maxwell Young looked him up from the small blind.

Kevin Grabel raised to 27,000 in the cutoff, Tanupat Punjarojanakul three-bet to 100,000 in the big blind, and Grabel called.
The flop came 6♥7♠7♥ and Punjarojanakul bet 60,000. Grabel called, and the 2♥ fell on the turn.
Punjarojanakul slowed down and checked to Grabel, who bet 100,000. Punjarojanakul called and checked again on the J♦ river, and Grabel moved all in for 390,000.
Punjarojanakul waited for the dealer to finish counting down Grabel's stack before he sent his cards into the muck.
George St. Lawrence jammed for 171,000 under the gun before it folded to Omar Taveras in the small blind. He would burn through three time extensions before he rejammed, and the hands were tabled.

St. Lawrence's kicker was in bad shape against Taveras and he needed to improve. The J♦3♥2♠ flop changed nothing before the K♦ turn swapped each other's outs with two broadway gutters.

James Tedrow raised to 25,000 under the gun, Anthony Zinno moved all in for 103,000 in early position, and Tedrow called.

Sharman Olshan departed in 48th place and another two players followed right away to bring the field down to the final five tables all of a suddenn.
Daniel Lazrus was the first to run out of chips thereafter when he got a shorter stack in the middle preflop against John McDonald.
