Tanupat Punjarojanakul bet 40,000 from the cutoff on a board of 4♣7♠9♣10♦ and Po Ying raised to 110,000 in the big blind. Punjarojanakul called.
The river was the J♠ and Ying checked to Punjarojanakul, who bet 150,000. Ying then moved all in, and Punjarojanakul snap-called for 405,000.
Ying showed 8♠6♦ for a straight, but Punjarojanakul had rivered a higher straight with K♠Q♦ to win the pot and double up.
A few hands later, Punjarojanakul raised to 50,000 under the gun, Giuseppe Lomuscio moved all in for 150,000 in the big blind, and Punjarojanakul called.
Giuseppe Lomuscio: K♥Q♦
Tanupat Punjarojanakul: K♠4♠
Lomuscio hit top pair on the Q♠5♦2♣ flop to take a big lead in the pot, while the 7♠ turn gave Punjarojanakul some hope with a flush draw. The 6♠ river gave him his flush, and Lomuscio was sent to the rail.
"As soon as he saw the seven he shook his head before he knew," tablemate Mario Rodriguez said.
