Rickert Tops Day 1a; Rodriguez Chases Cannuli in Day 1b of Super Deep 6-Max

The first two starting flights of the $650 Super Deep 6-Max wrapped up on Tuesday at the Borgata Summer Poker Open, with 24 players advancing to Day 2.

Day 1a produced 16 survivors from 94 entries, led by Jerick Rickert, who bagged 667,000 chips. Robert Anastasio (456,000) and Joseph Patalune (411,000) rounded out the top three, while Braden Kulley (328,000) and Michael Surick (316,000) also finished with healthy stacks.

In Day 1b, Thomas Cannuli edged the 50-entry field with 576,000, narrowly ahead of Mario Rodriguez (423,000) and Harrison Dobin (296,000) along with five other players.

Two more opportunities remain to qualify. Day 1c got underway at 11:15 a.m. and has its late registration still open. Day 1d, starts at 5:15 p.m. and is the last chance for players to get a spot in Day 2.
