"The Bounties Are Comin'" to Buckner

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Two-time World Poker Tour (WPT) runner-up Steven "Cuz" Buckner was heard screaming as he held his signature cigar stub in one hand and scooped in chips with the other after eliminating an opponent.

"Let's f***ing go! Let's f***ing go! The bounties are comin'," Buckner screamed.

Buckner, who finished second in both the 2022 WPT Choctaw and WPT Five Diamond later in the year, will now look to close out in one of the first events of the new year.

Calderaro Doubles Through a "Sick F***"

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A short-stacked James Calderaro moved all in from the big blind and Taylor Wilson called from the button with a bigger stack.

James Calderaro: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Taylor Wilson: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}

"What the f*** is this sh**?" Calderaro asked when he saw his opponent's holding. "You sick f***!"

The flop landed {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} to give Calderaro a commanding lead and have Wilson drawing to just two non-diamond aces. The board then finished out {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Calderaro earned the double.

"You didn't have enough chips!" Wilson said about his preflop call.

Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

In a battle between the blinds, Kristen Foxen checked from the small blind on a flop of {6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and the big blind checked back. Foxen checked again on the {6-Spades} turn and the big blind also checked.

The {10-Spades} river completed the board and Foxen led out for 5,500 with only 4,600 in the pot. Her opponent gave it some thought and folded.

Scardina Shoves on Samson Twice

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a three-way pot on a board of {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, Richard Scardina bet 17,500 and Shehryar Samson pushed out a stack of yellow chips for a call. The third player in the hand folded and Scardina tossed in his bounty chip thinking that Samson had raised all-in.

After taking his bet back, the river brought the {a-Clubs} and Scardina moved all in. Samson laid it down.

Trezzino Falls to Elias

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Robert Elias opened to 1,000 from under the gun and a middle position player three-bet to 4,000. Thomas Trezzino then four-bet to 10,000 on the button and Elias five-bet to around 20,000 when the action got around. The middle position player folded and Elias six-bet jammed with a little over 20,000.

"Ok, let's run it," he said before Elias called.

Thomas Trezzino: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Robert Elias: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Trezzino couldn't crack queens as the board ran out {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to mark his elimination.
