A star-studded field of 17 players returns to the WTC Sheraton in Sao Paulo for Day 2 of the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) Super High Roller Series R$500,000 ($100,000 US) Super High Roller Main Event, and the biggest (and loudest) star of them all is firmly atop the leaderboard.
Martin Kabrhel is either entertaining or annoying, engaging or tiresome. Opponents either enjoy interacting with him or put on their headphones and pretend he’s not there. But wherever they fall on the spectrum regarding the polarizing Czech star, they have to acknowledge his ability to accumulate chips.

Kabrhel, who already won the $30,000 Super High Roller earlier this week, is the chip leader entering the day with 1,550,000 as the rest of the field tries to track him down once action resumes at 2 p.m. local time. Daniel Rezaei is the man best positioned to do that, as he sits in second place with 1,373,000. Online crusher Gabriel Tavares (1,253,000), Vladimir Minko (966,000), and $50,000 Super High Roller champion Felipe Boianovsky (945,000) round out the top five.
Other players coming back on Day 2 include Joao Simao (816,000), Thiago Crema (723,000), Kelvin Kerber (695,000), and Pedro Padilha (684,000). Leonardo Rizzo, the one player in the field who can match Kabrhel’s rambunctiousness, starts the day with 520,000, while further down the leaderboard are Zdenek Zizka (432,000), Renan Bruschi (378,000), Alisson Piekazewicz (266,000), Yuri Dzivielevski (137,000), and Mehdi Chaoui (85,000).
A total of 24 players have entered so far, but with late registration remaining open until the end of Level 15, the field should grow substantially larger by the time the prize pool is confirmed. The action on Day 2 picks up on Level 11 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and a 10,000 big blind ante. Levels remain 40 minutes at the start of the day, and will be extended to 60 minutes beginning on Level 16.
The field is expected to play down to the money or through Level 21 today, and all the action will be streamed on BSOP’s official YouTube channel with English commentary from Jeff Gross and Brian Rast. Updates will be provided on a 30-minute delay to match the stream.
