Stage Set for $30,000 BSOP Super High Roller to Crown Its Champion
Later today, when WTC Sheraton dims its lights for the evening, and the day is done here in São Paulo, the BSOP Super High Roller Series will have its latest champion.
When Day 1 concluded, just 11 players had stayed the course to bag chips in the $30,000 Super High Roller, but with late registration still available until Day 2 officially starts, that number is sure to grow.
When the chips are emptied onto the felt, it will be Rodrigo Selouan with the most to stack - bagging 1,850,000 to start the day with.
PokerStars Team Pro Andre Akkari is hot on his heels, with less than a couple of big blinds separating his stack of 1,820,000 and that of the chip leader.
Completing the overnight podium, plenty of energy and outcries are expected from third-place player, Martin Kabrhel. Kabrhel joined the field in the penultimate level of Day 1 and, after his first entry ended quickly, he rebought before going on to build a stack of 1,250,000.

The poker pedigree doesn’t end with the current top three.
Despite starting in the lower half of the counts, Ivan Luca will be one to watch, having already made back-to-back final tables in the first two Super High Roller events. The Argentinian returns with 235,000 today and the chance to make it a clean sweep of the first three.
Action is scheduled to resume at 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, November 18th, with play picking up in Level 13 at blinds of 10,000/20,000 and a 20,000 big blind ante.
Once late registration closes, the final field will be set, and the tournament will run straight through to a champion being crowned.
