Zhang Gets One Through

Tommy Zhang opened to 500,000 with KQ and action folded to Cedrric Trevino who defended the big blind with 86.

The flop came out A67 and Trevino checked to Zhang who continued for 325,000, which Trevino called with his pair of sixes.

The turn 8 to further improve Trevino to two-pair and he checked again, but this time Zhang checked back.

On the river 9, Trevino checked once more and Zhang put him all in, sending him into the tank.

After a good minute of deliberation, Trevino decided to lay down the winner and the pot was pushed over to Zhang for a nice pickup.

Zhang Takes Big Chunk from Yen

The flop came out 452 to give Zhang the lead with a pair of fours and a flush draw with Yen in second with his pair and open-ended straight draw.

Action checks to Yen who continued for 850,000 and was called by Zhang while Trevino got out of the way.

The turn 8 further improves Zhang to two-pair and he led out for 1,300,000, but was then raised by Yen to 3,700,000, which Zhang just called.

On the river Q, Zhang checked, and Yen wisely checked back, at which point Zhang showed the goods to award him the substantial pot.

Yen Forces Fold from Champlin

Jerry Yen opened to 525,000 from the cutoff with J2 and was called by Spencer Champlin on the button with Q8.

There were no other takers and the two went to the flop of AA4, which saw the action go check-check.

When the 8 appeared on the turn, Yen led for 600,000 and Champlin called with his eight.

The river fell the 2 and Yen fired again for 1,950,000, which did the job as Champlin laid down the winner to award Yen the pot.

The action folded back around to Zhang who somehow sniffed this one out and made the correct laydown to award the pot to Esposito.

Hendrix Doubles through Yen

Jerry Yen opened under-the-gun to 430,000 and action folded around to Adam Hendrix in the big blind who moved all in for 2,610,000.

Yen quickly called to put him at risk and the cards were on their backs.

The flop of A104 gave Hendrix a big lead and the runout of J8 secured him the pot for the double.

Diaz was in a good position to double with his superior king-high, but the flop of 9Q5 gave Yen the lead with a pair of fives.

The turn 10 gave Diaz some extra outs as he picked up a gutshot, but the river Q sent him to the rail in 7th place.

Trevino Gets There on Hendrix

Cedrric Trevino opened to 425,000 from the hijack with KJ but was then three-bet to 1,075,000 by Adam Hendrix in the big blind.

Trevino quickly called and the duo went to the flop of 8AK, which saw a bet of 250,000 from Hendrix and a call from Trevino.

The turn is the Q which gave Trevino increased equity with an added straight draw but the action checks through to the 6 river.

Both players make the flush and Hendrix checks over to Trevino who fires for 1,500,000, which sent Hendrix into the tank.

After several minutes of deliberation, Hendrix finally decides to make the smart laydown and the pot is pushed over to Trevino.
