Rocco Palumbo Eliminated in 8th Place ($11,289)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Rocco Palumbo
Rocco Palumbo

Players are now on a 10-minute break.

On the last hand before the break, Rocco Palumbo opened to 50,000 on the button and Justin Liberto three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind. Palumbo called and action checked through the flop {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Liberto bet 145,000 on the turn {k-Spades} and Palumbo called, bringing the river {4-Spades}.

Liberto slid out a stack of 25K-chips, just enough to put Palumbo to a decision for the last of his chips. After a few moments, a call was made.

Rocco Palumbo: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Justin Liberto: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Liberto had Palumbo out-kicked and Palumbo was eliminated in eighth place as a result.

Collard Makes the Nuts

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante

Dwane Collard opened the action with a raise to 55,000 in the hijack and was called by Josh Saltz on the button. Jason Remshardt also called in the small blind, as did Jason Dennis in the big blind.

Three checks on the flop {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} sent action over to Saltz, who bet 75,000. Remshardt and Dennis got out of the way and Collard called, taking action heads up to the turn {3-Clubs}. Both players checked and Collard fired out 180,000 on the river {6-Clubs}, with Saltz immediately making the call.

Collard tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the dealer announced his rivered nuts, prompting Saltz to muck and the pot to be sent Collard's way.

Jay Teel Eliminated in 9th Place ($9,771)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Jay Teel
Jay Teel

Steve Wilkie open-limped in the hijack and Jay Teel jammed for 266,000 in the cutoff. Dwane Collard put in 500K on the button and everybody else folded.

Jay Teel: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Dwane Collard: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Teel's night came to an end as the board ran out {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

"I lose," said Teel after finding himself drawing dead on the turn. "I'm okay with that," he added before making his way to get paid.

A moment later, Jason Dennis avoided an eighth-place finish after getting {a-}{5-} in against the {a-}{j-} of Rocco Palumbo and hitting a full house to double.

Mike Kenny Eliminated in 10th Place ($7,591)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Mike Kenny
Mike Kenny

Jason Remshardt open-limped in the hijack on a five-handed table and action folded to Mike Kenny in the big blind, who checked his option. Kenny bet 45,000 on {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Remshardt called.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Kenny shoved for his remaining 190,000. Remshardt immediately called.

Mike Kenny: {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Jason Remshardt: {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Remshardt's flopped set was ahead of Kenny's two pair and Kenny was unable to back into the full house on the river {k-Diamonds}, bringing about his elimination in 10th place.

With nine remaining, the tournament clock has now been stopped as the final table has been reached. Players are redrawing for seats and appear to wish to continue play into the evening.

A final table seat draw and updated chip counts will be posted shortly.

Matt Livingston Eliminated in 11th Place ($7,591)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante
Matt Livingston
Matt Livingston

Matt Livingston open-jammed for 356,000 under the gun and Chris Quackenbush called all in for 297,000 in the hijack. Jason Remshardt called as well.

Chris Quackenbush: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Matt Livingston: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Jason Remshardt: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Quackenbush was in about as good of a situation as he could ask for to triple and held with ease as the runout came {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} to score him the triple.

Livingston was then left with barely over two big blinds and busted a couple of hands later with {j-Spades}{7-Hearts} to the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} of Josh Saltz.

Saltz Hits Seven Figures

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 4,000 ante

Josh Saltz opened to 50,000 in the hijack and saw Matt Livingston re-jam on the button. Action folded back to Saltz and he called all in for 550,000.

Josh Saltz: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Matt Livingston: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Saltz faded the two remaining fives on a runout of {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and doubled as a result, eclipsing 1 million in the process and leaving Livingston as one of the shortest remaining stacks in the tournament.
