Welcome to Day 1c of the August 2019 Colorado Poker Championship $1,100 Main Event

Golden Gates Casino Black Hawk, Colorado

It’s time for the third and final flight of the August 2019 Colorado Poker Championship $1,100 Main Event.

Like the first two flights, Day 1c is scheduled to see cards to see cards in the air at noon local time with the field set to build on the 170 entries already logged through the first two starting flights. Last August’s field size of 264 is sure to be surpassed, with the hopes that the 300-entry mark will also be topped.

Thirty-two players have already advanced through the first two days of play, with Day 1a chip leader Wendy Freedman in pole position by a wide margin. She will come into Sunday’s Day 2 with 597,500 in chips, well clear of her next-closest competitor and Day 1b chip leader Greg Geller (365,500).

Day 1c will see players receive 30,000 starting stacks with 40-minute levels through the first eight hours and 12 levels of play. Levels will then increase to 60 minutes in length for the last two hours and two levels of the night. Breaks will occur at the completion of every two hours of play, and unlimited re-entries are available through the end of the 45-minute dinner break after Level 9.

Notable players such as Brian Leitch, Nick Pupillo, Chris Tryba, and Rich Dixon have been among those present for one or both of the first two flights that have yet to find a bag, and more are expected to come take their shot inside the Golden Gates Casino and Poker Parlour this afternoon at the final opportunity to advance. Stay tuned to PokerNews for updates as the day unfolds.
