Action was four ways on a flop of {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} with around 2,900 in the pot. Players in the big blind and early position checked before a player in middle position made a bet of 1,000. Ian Pelz was in the hijack and called. The first two players to check both folded, taking action heads up to the turn {7-Diamonds}. The middle-position player bet another 1,000 and Pelz called.

The river came {8-Clubs} and the player in middle position bet 1,000 for a third time. Pelz put in a raise to 3,300 and his opponent thought for about 90 seconds before putting in chips to call.

Pelz tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} for queens up and his opponent mucked, resulting in the pot being sent his way.

Tinkle was first to act and led out for 700. Tryba folded, Simmer called, and the last remaining player folded.

Trenholme Cracks Aces To Double

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

There was close to 6,000 in the pot on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and a player in middle position bet 2,600. Richard Trenholme was in the hijack and raised to 6,000. The player on the button shoved over the top, covering both the middle-position player and Trenholme.

The player in middle position folded and Trenholme quickly pushed his stack forward, announcing a call.

Richard Trenholme: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Trenholme's flopped two pair put him out in front of his opponent's aces, giving him a great shot at a double. The turn came {10-Hearts} to give him a flush to sweat as well, but the river {8-Clubs} fell clean and he stayed on top. The dealer counted his stack to total 23,750, bringing him close to two starting stacks.
