Ravn Family in the House

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Tommy Ravn
Tommy Ravn

We caught up with Tommy Ravn on the break and he introduced us to his son Patrik Ravn who traveled to Tallinn to play the event together from Norway. Both players are in action at different tables.

Tommy Ravn shared he is now doing well after initially getting his stack down to as low as 9,000 chips. He was able to double up the last hand before break and now has a more respectable 21,000.

Meanwhile, Patrick Ravn started off the day in the other direction and was well north of 40,000 in chips. He was in good spirits after losing a couple of hands during Level 3 to bring his stack down to 32,000, which is still slightly better than the 30,000 chips he began the day with.

Henri Kasper Wins the Warm-Up for €3,700

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Henri Kasper
Henri Kasper

Henri Kasper is one of Estonia's most successful live tournament players ranking in fourth place in The Hendon Mob Estonia All Time Money list with nearly $500,000 in cashes. This places him only behind Madis Muur, Raigo Aasmaa, and Imre Leibold.

Last night, he narrowed the gap between him and the other players ahead of him on his country's ranking list after he outlasted a field of 58 entrants to win the Coolbet Open €220 Warm-Up event for a cool €3,700.

Here is a look at all of the players that cashed in the event:

Svendsen and von Zweigbergk Close in Stacks While Konstantinov Wins a Hand

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Jan Svendsen
Jan Svendsen

As earlier mentioned, the Coolbet website put up odds on who would last longer between the company's founder Jan Svendsen and Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk.

Both players won big early and were among the chip lead. While they are still close in chips, they have both lost some of their stacks with Svendsen down to 41,000 and von Zweigbergk down to 42,000.

In a recent hand, von Zweigbergk opened from middle position to 750 and got called Christel Piller in the hijack. Aleksandr Konstantinov jacked the action to 2,100 from the button and both his opponents called.

Von Zweigbergk led out for 3,100 on the {a-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop. Piller quickly folded before Konstantinov quickly called.

Both players checked after the {8-Clubs} appeared on the turn.

The {J-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Von Zweigbergk checked and then went into the tank after his opponent bet 4,000. Von Zweigbergk eventually folded and both players' hands went into the muck.

At the same table, we noticed Rauno Kiviloo's seat empty and learned he lost the rest of his small stack. He has reentered with a fresh stack at a new table. Meanwhile, Kiviloo's roommate Espen Uhlen Jorstad lost some of his chips as well and his stack is down to 19,000.

Tommy Ravn Going to Fire Again

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Tommy Ravn
Tommy Ravn

Tommy Ravn just exhausted his first bullet in the tournament. His stack dwindled to around 12,000 when he jammed with {Q-}{9-} over his opponent on a {Q-}{8-}{8-} flop.

His opponent called and turned over {A-}{A-} leaving Ravn in a world of hurt either needing a queen on the turn or river or snag a runner-runner straight.

The board ran blanks and Ravn shared he plans to reenter again soon after a quick break.

Jesus Flops a Set

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen
Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen

We earlier mentioned that roommates Espen Uhlen Jorstad and Rauno Kiviloo were at the same table. They are now at separate tables after Kiviloo busted and reentered.

Also in action now is the third roommate, Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen.

Tahvonen wasted no time in winning some chips and now has a stack of around 42,000.

In a recent hand, he checked on a pot with already some chips in it after the flop came {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs} before he check-raised his opponent from 2,000 to 6,000.

Tahvonen got a called and then he went into the tank after the {8-Spades} appeared on the turn. He eventually bet 7,000 and his opponent once again called.

Both players checked after the {Q-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Tahvonen turned over {10-}{10-} for a set, which apparently was better than what his opponent had after he tossed his cards into the muck.

Linne Doubles Up

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Cedric Linne
Cedric Linne

Cedric Linne had his stack to just 7,200 but now is in a bit better shape.

Sergei Aleksejev opened from early position for 900. Cedric Linne then three-bet jammed his stack of 7,200 from the cutoff. The action folded around Aleksejev who took a look at the bet size.

"Call, call," said Aleksejev who didn't look happy while saying it.

He seemed even further displeased when he saw that his opponent was a 4:1 favorite to win the hand.

Cedric Linne: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Sergei Aleksejev: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop was of no help to Aleksejev. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn also didn't help. To add insult to injury, the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river to give Linne a full house.

Kyte Moved and Slowly Chipping Up

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Norway's Jon Kyte is seeking his second trophy in a week in the city of Tallinn in two different events.

He was initially upset when his friend Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk moved tables. However, he shared that softened the blow when he had to move tables not too much later.

Since the table move, Kyte chipped up to around 45,000. He is sitting next to Finland's Jari Hurri, who has become a fixture at Olympic Park Casino whenever they are hosting a festival.

Masse Mirza Surging

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Masse Mirza's start to the tournament didn't go as planned. His stack dwindled down to around 8,000 in chips. His fortunes more recently have been much better.

First with about 2,500 in the pot, Mirza open-jammed for 7,250 on a {3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. Jari Hurri tanked for a bit before he reluctantly called. Hurri shook his head when he saw his {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} was behind Mirza's {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board completed with the {k-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Spades} on the river to give Mirza a double up.

About 10 minutes later, we witnessed another big hand by Mirza. Mirza checked after the flop came {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Jon Kyte led out for 1,200. Hurri folded before Mirza called.

The action was checked to Kyte once again after the {7-Clubs} double paired the board. Kyte this time bet 1,500 and Mirza called.

Mirza then led out for 4,350 after the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Coolbet has been handling out plush dice that have poker sayings like call, fold, raise, etc. Mirza had one handy and after Kyte was thinking for a minute tossed his die over to his opponent.

Kyte then raised to 10,500 and Mirza instantly three-bet shoved for 15,100. Kyte thought for a bit before he folded and Mirza's stack went from zero to hero in a matter of minutes.
